Game Show Newsnet - Dancing with the Stars: Season 7

The semifinals. Just 4 couples have survived and it's one more week before the big finale. 2 rounds are in play and we are ready to rock!

LATIN ROUND

Up first, Brooke & Derek doing a jive to "The House is Rocking" by Stevie Ray Vaughn. Derek did a knee slide and Brooke did a fall back saver. Brooke mistakenly did a push back gesture and Derek did a tractor move. Brooke did a slide back and Derek did a flip over. By the end, both rested on the judges table. They must now go in front of the table for deliberation. Carrie Ann said it was a bit disrespectful, Len said it was a disaster and Bruno said the technique went down the toilet. Let's flush the numbers:

CARRIE: 7

Next up, Cody & Julianne, back from surgery doing a paso doble. Cody did some pushups and Julianne stopped it with her foot. Julianne did some spins and a slide-through. On to the judges. Carrie Ann gave him a 10 for determination, Len said it lacked danced quality and Bruno said he danced like an AWOL android. Let's get the scoring robot:

Next will be Warren & Kym doing a mambo. No mistakes didn't happen. To the judges. Carrie Ann said it was a little lackluster, Len said it came out and showed us great personality and Bruno said it was very engaging. On to the numbers:

ROund 1 Score: 24

Last up this round, Lance & Lacey doing a mambo. Lacey stopped and Lance revived it with his hand magic. later on, they did arm work and everything else. To the judges. Carrie Ann said it was a show stopper, Len said it was the best dance so far and Bruno said it was semifinal material. The scoreboard says:

After a round of play, Lance & Lacey are running away with 28 and Brooke & Derek need some catching up to do. Maybe the 2nd round will help. Let's get to it!

JITTERBUG/SALSA ROUND

We begin with Brooke & Derek doing a salsa. They have arm work and arm waves. They did some flapping arms in the air and Brooke did a floor wheel move that took the entire dance floor to sweep up. On to the judges. Carrie Ann said the lifts were appropriate for the routine, Len was told to work on her strengths and Bruno said Brooke is back. Back to the scoreboard:

Cody & Julianne will be next doing a salsa. Some highlights include arm work by both and Julianne doing a lift. To the judges again. Carrie Ann said it was a lot of fun, Len said he was such a string lad and Bruno said it was technically a little loose. Let's tighten the scoreboard up:

Next, Warren & Kym doing a jitterbug. Their moves match the gambling outfits, but was it a risky gamble for the judges? Carrie Ann liked it, Len said he's a joyful person to watch and Bruno said his feet was all over the place. Going around the scoreboard:

And finally, Lance & Lacey doing a jitterbug. One lowlight was Lance taking a shoe off. Did it hurt? Carrie Ann said it was magic, Len said he danced 2 incredible dances and Bruno said it was brilliant, shoes on or off. Let's go to the scoreboard before we turn it off:
