Week 9:
Double the Votes and Double the Jolt!
November 15
It's semifinal shock electricity and this time,
they'll have a 90-minute show with 4 couples remaining in the balance. With
Bristol Palin's star rising, her dancing may have sunk. Is it time for her
turnaround? What about Kyle Massey? Will his humor shock the whole world? And
will we see Jennifer Grey fall victim to last place? Only one way to find out.
Let's rock & roll!
BALLROOM ROUND
We start off with Brandy & Maks dancing a paso doble to "Firework" by Katy
Perry. There was a highlight in which Maks almost walked out while Brnady
danced. However, she came back to reunite. Soon as Maks stepped aside, Brandy
danced on her own. Talk about being solo. Now, let's join the judges. Carrie Ann
said she has never seen her connected to her character this week, Len said she
came out 100% and Bruno said she definitely released all her aggression. Release
the hounds!
Carrie Ann: 9 Len: 9 Bruno: 9 Round 1 Score: 27
Next is Jennifer & Derek doing a cha-cha to "Mercy" by Duffy. Jennifer messed
around the judges table and called out Derek from the crowd. Soon after, it was
all the cha-cha you can handle. And the judges say....Carrie Ann said she was
not disappointed, Len said they made the dance fun and Bruno said it was
vibrant. Here's the numbers....
Carrie Ann: 10 Len: 10 Bruno: 10 Round 1 Score: 30
Bristol & Mark will now paso doble to "Gimmie More" by Britney Spears. Bristol
flirted Mark with her cape attached to her dress and there was more dancing with
green lights flashing. We speed ahead to the judges. Carrie Ann said she nailed
the dance, Len said all guns were blazing and Bruno said the little lamb turned
into a tigress. Let's turn the numbers....
Carrie Ann: 9 Len: 9 Bruno: 9 Round 1 Score: 27
Kyle & Lacey will be last dancing a samba to "She's Got me Dancing" by Tommy
Sparks. Kyle danced solo and went to the judges table where Lacey met magically.
Lacey did a lot of spins to make up ground and both did arm work. Let's work
with the judges. Carrie Ann said he's never seen so much pelvic action ever, Len
said he came out and got on with it and Bruno said he truly is an entertainer.
Let's look at the leaderboard:
Carrie Ann: 10 Len: 9 Bruno: 10 Round 1 Score: 29
So far, Jennifer & Derek have the lead, but will anybody catch up? Let the
second half begin!
LATIN ROUND
First off, Brandy & Maks doing an Argentine Tango. Although it was a perfect
setting, a couple of highlights included bending on the band area and sitting on
the judges table, all by Brandy. Now to the judges. Carrie Ann said it was
amazingly ridiculous, Len said he loved the atmosphere he created and Bruno said
it was full of flavor. Let's add flavor to the scoreboard...
Carrie Ann: 10 Len: 10 Bruno: 10 Round 2 Score: 30 Overall Score: 57
Next up, Jennifer & Derek doing a waltz to "Way Over Younder" by Carole King. It
was poigant with a light just showing hovering over the band area. We go to the
judges. Carrie Ann said it was the bost beautifullest thing ever seen, Len said
it was a fabulous dance and Bruno said it was a gem of a dance. Let's discover
the numbers....
Carrie Ann: 10 Len: 10 Bruno: 10 Round 2 Score: 30 Overall Score: 60
Next is Bristol & mark doing a waltz. One highlight you could see was Bristol
doing a foot drag. We drag over to the judges. Carrie Ann said there was momnets
in which she drifted away, Len said it was beautiful and Bruno said she liked
how the waltz was apporched differently. Here's the numbers....
Carrie Ann: 9 Len: 9 Bruno: 9 Round 2 Score: 26 Overall Score: 53
And to end it, Kyle & Lacey doing an Argentine Tango to "Jai Ho (You Are My
Destiny)" from "Slumdog Millionaire." Lacey did a kick and a back one. There was
even more dancing, but I want to go tothe judges. Carrie Ann said she reminds
him of Emmitt Smith, Len said he is a star and Bruno said he is Mr. Charisma of
this season. The final numbers blast....
Carrie Ann: 10 Len: 9 Bruno: 10 Round 2 Score: 29 Overall Score: 58
So after 2 rounds, we end the day with this: Jennifer is way on top with 60,
Kyle with 58, Brandy's a point down and Bristol is in last with 53. It comes
down to crunch time. Which 3 of the 4 will make it to the finals? The results
show before the big finale will be tomorrow. See you then.CLICK
