Week 8:
Turbine Trouble
November 8
When you watch ESPN Classic, you see "instant
classic" when something amazing happens, but when you tune in to DWTS tonight,
you will see an "instant dance" which would come up later. Let's get to some
dancing and we begin.....now.
BALLROOM ROUND
Up first, Kyle & Lacey doing a Vienesse Waltz to "Breathe (2 AM)" by Anna Nalick.
It was elegant and graceful than ever before. Now we go to the judges. Carrie
Ann said her crush is back, Len said he was a gorgeous orchid and Bruno said has
has become a sophisticate young man. Here's the numbers:
Carrie Ann: 9 Len: 9 Bruno: 9 Round 1 Score: 30
Later on, they'll dance an instant dance to "Good Golly, Miss Molly" by Little
Richard. But right now, it'll be Jennifer & Derek doing a quick step to "Let's
Face The music and Dance" by Frank Sinatra. Jennifer showed why she wants to
stay on top by performing this routine. Now here's more of the judges. Carrie
Ann said it was amazing, Len said they faced the music and danced and Len said
it was like watching a classic Ginger Rogers/Fred Astraire movie. Watch this...
Carrie Ann: 9 Len: 9 Bruno: 9 Round 1 Score: 27
Like Kenny Mayne said, stay around for their rumba to "Waiting for a girl like
You" by Foreigner. Onward we go to Kurt & anna doing a vienesse waltz to "Take
It To The Limit" by The Eagles. One highlight you might see is Anna doing a
slink down to the floor. Now, isn't that nice? On to the judges. Carrie Ann said
she sees the effort and determination put into his dancing, Len said the whole
feeling was beautiful and Bruno said they did come a long way. Throwing the
longball.....
Carrie Ann: 8 Len: 8 Bruno: 8 Round 1 Score: 24
They'll be back for a cha-cha to "Hella Good" by Gwen Stefani. We now focus on
Bristol & Mark doing an Argentine Tango to "Buttons" by the Pussycat Dolls. They
were messing around the chair a little bit at the start until later on, she
stodd up on the seat of the chair for a big move. We move ahead to the judges.
Carrie Ann said she needs more energy in her legs, Len said it lacked a bit of
intensity and Bruno said she did well, but how well was it?
Carrie Ann: 8 Len: 8 Bruno: 8 Round 1 Score: 24
They'll warm up to dance to "Mas Que Nada" later on, but we got one more couple
to end the half, and that's Brandy & Maks doing a waltz to "Dark Waltz" by
Hayley Westerna. Nice title, huh? Anyways, they danced under a wide bridge of
white lights and it turned out to be dramatic in the end. Now we got to the
judges. Carrie Ann said it was riveting, Len said he was overwhelmed by the
whole performance and Bruno said it was like a poem. Let's write the numbers.
Carrie Ann: 9 Len: 10 Bruno: 10 Round 1 Score: 29
They'll limber up for the dance to "Teenage Dream" by Katy Perry, but first, we
check the leadboard to find out what has happened so far. Brandy's on top with
29 points. Everybody else gets 27s and 24s, but things may change, because as
promised, it's the instant dance round.
INSTANT DANCE ROUND
And we've arrived at that time, because we start with Kyle & Lacey. Kyle came
from the crowd to the floor for a running slide. Both did some kicks and Kyle
slid through Lacey. By the end, both fell down. We wake up with the judges.
Carrie Ann said it was the most fun as a viewer, Len said it was wild & wacky
and Bruno said it was creative. How creative was it?
Round 2 Score: 29 Overall Score: 56
Next will be Jennifer & Derek. They wanted to do even better....just because
they are in the last half and thsi is why. Here's the judges. Len said he love
dthe variations in the dancing, Bruno said the dance was breath-taking and
Carrie Ann agreed with that. And the scoreboard says....
Round 2 Score: 30 Overall Score: 57
We have Kurt & Anna coming up. Anna did a foot drag and did some twirls. She
even followed up with a worm move. Now it's the judges turn. Carrie Ann said
they nailed the dance, Len said it was well done and Bruno said they went for it
and had fun. ANd now.....
Round 2 Score: 24 Overall Score: 48
Bristol & mark come up next. Both did a bit of arm work and did a grinder
gesture. With everything else there, we move ahead to the judges. Carrie Ann
said they weren't very connected with the music and Len said they did well
overall. How well did they do?
Round 2 Score: 23 Overall Score: 47
And we shall end it with Brandy & Maks. They went to the audience for support by
the halfway point and they got a lot of it. Did the judges get any? Carrie Ann
said the routine wanted to start instanly and Bruno said he loved all of it.
Here's what left of it....
Round 2 Score: 28 Overall Score: 56
So that'll end the show in an instant. With Jennifer back on top again, Bristol
is struggling to find the range. Maybe the results show could change in an
instant. That'll be tomorrow night and we'll see you later.CLICK
