Week
9: This Is Where X Met O
The last 2 weeks of season 10. We're pulling out all
the stops, but we're not pulling out any love whatsoever, because instead of
Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds, we got the terrific trio of Carrie Ann, Len and
Bruno, and this week, it'll be the same like last time, but in the 2nd half,
they are treated to one 15-20 second solo. So let's not waste any more time.
Week 9 of season X. It begins now.
BALLROOM ROUND Kicking things off is Erin & Maksim doing a Viennese Waltz to "February Song" by Josh Groban. They lock up and start off walking...and begin dancing. Erin did some nicer moves including a pretty difficult ballerina spin. Now let's spin over with the judges. Carrie Ann said she was a little nervous, Len said she made a giant step through the door, and Bruno said it was a symphony in Blue. I'm seeing green with the numbers.... CARRIE: 9 LEN: 9 BRUNO: 9 Round 1 Score: 27 Next is Nicole & Derek doing an Argentine Tango. Derek held her to the floor and it was pure as heck. Heck, it was purest. To the judges we go. Len said it was more delicious than his grandmom's apple pie, Bruno called her a divine enchantress and Carrie Ann was in tears. Wow. To you leaderboards: CARRIE: 10 LEN: 10 BRUNO: 10 Round 1 Score: 30 Next up is Chad & Cheryl doing a waltz to "If You Don't Know me By Now" by Simply Red. Both start out sitting and got up to dance. Cheryl controlled it with a little foot drag and a slow 3/4 split. Everything else was pretty. Now to the judges. Carrie Ann yelled "WooHoo!"...is K.T. Tunstall around?.....hello....Len said he's the one with no experience of dance and Bruno said he showed it to us. Show us the numbers! CARRIE: 9 LEN: 9 BRUNO: 9 Round 1 Score: 27 To end the half, Evan & Anna doing a foxtrot to "I've got the World on a string" by Frank Sinatra. Evan kisses a photo of Anna in front of the judges table and leaps onto the floor. After going solo, Anna joins him and got a ballerina spin. Both had high kicks and Evan was left floored by Anna at the end. We stand up with the judges. Carrie Ann said it felt the connection, Len said it was absolutely wonderful and Bruno said he was high as a kite. Let's fly to the leaderboard... CARRIE: 10 LEN: 9 BRUNO: 10 Round 1 Score: 29 So after a round of play, Nicole leads it with 30, 29s go to Evan & Erin and Chad is last with 27. The Latin round is ready and we're ready... LATIN ROUND Erin & Maks will get this go-round off by dancing a paso doble to "U Got The Look" by Prince w/ Sheena Easton. Erin almost kicked Maks to the head twice and got a solo for herself. Maks changed her bottom half dress into gold and kicked over Erin. Now we go to the judges. Carrie Ann said she's what it feels like to be in her power, Len said it was a funky monkey type and Bruno called her a hot chick with an attitude. Word. The scores go like this: CARRIE: 10 LEN: 9 BRUNO: 10 Round 2 Score: 29 Overall Score: 56 Next up is Nicole & Derek doing a cha-cha to "Kiss" by Prince. Nicole got up from a chair, did circles and folded. No hitting Derek in the head with it so far and as it unfolded, Derek got through Nicole with a double kick through and she did a "blow a kiss" gesture to the camera. Derek ended it with a spanking gesture. Yikes! On to the judges before we change it to a "Cool McCool" rerun. Carrie Ann said it felt the aloha, Len wants her in the finals and Bruno said she's a sexylicious purple queen. No mention of "Wrestlicious," but the scores say.... CARRIE: 10 LEN: 9 BRUNO: 10 Round 2 Score: 29 Overall Score: 59 We got Chad & Cheryl doing a samba to a Lady Gaggles, er, Gaga song known as "Alejandro." Cheryl ripped part of his pink shirt off. Don't say the G word now, and he tries to guard her. After that, Cheryl took his whole shirt off and he did a shirtless solo. But we skip to the scores. CARRIE: 8 LEN: 8 BRUNO: 9 Round 2 Score: 25 Overall Score: 52 And to end it, Evan & Anna doing a paso doble to "Bring Me To Life" by Evanescence. Evan dragged her and stripped part of Anna's dress off to do a solo. To the judges we go. Carrie Ann said it was powerful, Len said it came out with attack & aggression and Bruno said it was a paso doble with passion. And.... CARRIE: 10 LEN: 10 BRUNO: 10 Round 2 Score: 30 Overall Score: 59 And that's no more. 59s go out to Evan and Nicole, Erin has a 56 and last goes to Chad with 52. 4 great dancers, but which 3 will get into the finals, and who will advance to the college competition?
