Game Show Newsnet - Dancing with the Stars: Season 9

Kate Gosselin is gone and nowhere to be found. That means 7 couples are fighting for survival. They'll do a samba first, followed by a swing dance marathon. How will they do in order to raise their game? Get ready. Week 6 of season X. It begins...now.

As you read at the top, they'll do a samba first, so Jake & Chelsie will be the first ones up. What was supposed to be a floor spin decided that Chelsie didn't go for it. But as the shaking went into play, both did arm work and everything else. Now to the judges. Carrie Ann said he needs to connect to the music, Len said he needed more rhythm and Bruno said he didn't wiggle correctly. Let's put the scoreboard on vibrate.

CARRIE: 7

Next is Evan & Anna doing another one to "Hey Mama" by the Black Eyed Peas. They spiced up the dance floor with Evan doing his own thing. Now we get to the judges. Carrie Ann said he lost the battle with the samba, Len said it was his worst dance and Bruno said his legs were turned out. Let's turn to the scoreboard...

Next is Niecy & Louis doing an Argentint Tango. Niecy eats the rose and spits it out for good measure. She used a foot balance to act like a circle and used to get Louis hand and he ate....something. Anyways, let's catch up with the judges. Carrie Ann said she was definitely in the zone, Len said she's an enthusiastic eater and Bruno said the danced lacked intensity. Here's the numbers:

Back to the sambas now and Erin & Maksim will dance to "When I Get You Alone" by Robin Thicke. Erin fake pushes Maks and he raised the heat up by taking off his shirt. Oh my! On to the judges. Carrie Ann said she nailed it, Len is fed up with clothes and Bruno said she did it well. Here's the numbers:

Next is Chad & Cheryl doing an Argentine Tango. It was a pretty interesting dance to see it as they took control. Now to the judges. Carrie Ann said he nailed it, Len said he grew tonight and Bruno said it was string, powerful & demented. TO another time zone!

Nicole & Derek will get a samba to "Maria" by Ricky Martin. Nicole put the batteries on overload and they put a lot of fire into it. Let's speed up with the judges. Carrie Ann said it had no constructive criticism, Len said it was a hodgepodge of sexy moves and Bruno called her one singular sensation. On to the numbers mixer!

And to end the first stage, Pam & Damian doing an Argentine Tango to "Enjoy The Silence" by Depeche Mode. We see one lift and that may be a point off as we go to the judges. Carrie Ann said she needs to work on her legs, Len said she has no problem with that and Bruno said she is living the part. Let's move in with the leaderboard.

After 1 round of play, Nicole leads it with 26, Erin is right behind her with 25, Chad has 24, Pam with 22 and 3 21s go to Niecy, Evan & Jake. Things may change as we head into the Swing Marathon. Playtime's over!

SWING MARATHON

"In The Mood" is the name of the song, and the elimination process begins. The first one gone gets 4 points and Jake & Chelsie get the tapout. Niecy & Louis also get the tapout, but get 5 points in the process. 5 remain and....Evan & Anna get stopped cold, but gets 6. 7 points go to.....Chad & Cheryl. And then there were 3. The next submission goes to......Pam & Damian, who gets 8 points. And then there were 2. The last tapout goes to....................Erin & Maks with 9 points leaving Nicole & Derek with a dime. Time for the final tally:
