Week
2: There's an X-Tra Set of Chargers in Your Race Car
March 29
The first week of season 10 featured a high-scoring
pussycat doll, a basement-dwelling astronaut and Kate Gosselin. This week, the
12 combatants will foxtrot and jive to avoid elimination come tomorrow night.
For 1 couple, it's one last flick kick to oblivion. Week 2 of season 10. It
begins now.
Starting things off is Shannen & Mark doing a jive to "Shake Your Tailfeather"
by Ray Charles. One featured an arm twister by Shannen, with a kick from Louis.
It was all the jive you can handle. Now, we get the judges. Carrie Ann said it
was a solid routine, Len said they needed a but more control and Bruno said the
performance level was better than last week. What's even better is that we add
up the scores from last week, like this one:
CARRIE: 7
LEN: 6
BRUNO: 7
Week 2 Score: 20
Overall Score: 38
Next up is Aiden & Edyta doing a foxtrot to "I've Got You Under My Skin" by
Frank Sinatra. They blew a kiss closer at the judges table and Edyta did a twirl
followed by a couple more. After a leg lift from Edyta, it was over. To the
judges. Carrie Ann said it was a great job, Len said they needed to flow more
and Bruno said they need to work on their footwork. Working on the scores now...
CARRIE: 7
LEN: 6
BRUNO: 6
Week 2 Score: 19
Overall Score: 53
Now we got Evan & Anna doing a jive to "The Best Damn Thing" by Avril Lavigne.
Evan leaped over Anna and both got mesmerizing arm work. Evan did a little knee
slide for trickery. Now we get the judges. Carrie Ann said it was a lot of
energy, Len said it was a great jive and Bruno said they were greased lightning.
The scoreboard in a flash...
CARRIE: 8
LEN: 8
BRUNO: 8
Week 2 Score: 24
Overall Score: 47
Now, Niecy & Louis doing a foxtrot to "I Love You I Do" by Jennifer Hudson. One
highlight at the end was Niecy on the end of a fake proposal in the front row.
Now to the judges. Carrie Ann said it was spectacular, Len said it was a
revelation and Bruno said it was nicely done. Here's the scoreboard:
CARRIE: 7
LEN: 7
BRUNO: 7
Week 2 Score: 21
Overall Score: 39
Next is Jake & Chelsie doing a jive to "Hip to Be Square" by Huey Lewis & The
News. Jake did a bit of a heel slide and Chelsie did a 1/2 split. Both did arm
swings and Jake used Chelsie as percussion. Let's have a scoring bang here.
Carrie Ann liked the energy, Len said Jake needs to be lighter on his feet and
Bruno said he needs to work on precision and technique. Now the scores.
CARRIE: 6
LEN: 7
BRUNO: 7
Week 2 Score: 20
Overall Score: 40
We got Buzz & Ashly doing a foxtrot to "Fly Me To The Moon" by Frank Sinatra.
Buzz salutes to the earth and both did arm work. Ashly did a kick and everything
else was bad. I'll spare you one comment from Len. He said it was too difficult
to criticize a legend, but he inspires people. Shall we skip the numbers from
the judges and tell you what the scores are?
Week 2 Score: 12
Overall Score: 26
Bleh.
Moving right on is Nicole & Derek doing "S.O.S." by Rihanna. They out a lot of
energy to it since they practiced this routine. Let's quickly go to the judges.
Len said it was fantastic, Bruno said it was phenomenal and Carrie Ann said it
was perfection. The reason why? This.
CARRIE: 10
LEN: 8
BRUNO: 10
Week 2 Score: 28
Overall Score: 53
Next is Erin & Maksim doing a foxtrot to "Love Story" by Taylor Swift. Erin
starts out solo and Maks joins thereafter. From there, Erin did a split and a
side kick. To the judges we go. Carrie Ann said it had great use of her
flexibility, Len said the footwork wasn't too clever and Bruno said Erin is a
natural. Let's explode the board!
CARRIE: 8
LEN: 7
BRUNO: 8
Week 2 Score: 23
Overall Score: 44
Now we have Pam & Damian doing a foxtrot to "I Want to Be Loved by You" by
Marilyn Monroe. Pam played the part of the idol herself in this great routine.
Now we go the judges. Carrie Ann said it brought her back to life, Len said it
was titillating to her amusement and Bruno said it was a well executed tribute.
Here comes...something....
CARRIE: 7
LEN: 7
BRUNO: 8
Week 2 Score: 22
Overall Score: 43
Next is Chad & Cheryl doing a foxtrot to "100 Years" by Five for Fighting. It
was very graceful to see it throughout the number. We go to the judges. Carrie
Ann said it had great potential, Len said it was terrible and Bruno said the
same thing. The numbers say...
CARRIE: 6
LEN: 5
BRUNO: 5
Week 2 Score: 16
Overall Score: 34
Lastly, Kate & Tony doing a jive to "I'm Still Standing" by Elton John. Kate
pushes Tony off a bit and both did a bit of arm work. Tony broke it down solo
and everything else was there despite the fact that Tony walked out for Kate
being a dumb blonde. Notice the hair. Anyway, to the judges. Carrie Ann said it
made the positive thing through the routine, Len said she should go out fighting
and Bruno said the song turned into a nightmare. Let's wake up and smell
Starbucks.....
CARRIE: 5
LEN: 5
BRUNO: 5
Week 2 Score: 15
Overall Score: 31
So to recap, the Pussycat Doll declaws the top, while the astronaut goes
grounded. Tomorrow night, the first victim will end the quest, plus the Beach
Boys will perform. See you soon.CLICK
