NIGHT 10 - TADHANA BEACH: AFTER HURRICANE
CALEB
The Loved ones STILL can't believe
that, after a split vote, Emperor Brad got sent to RI! Ciera is
happy to still be in the game...and is certain Hayden and Vytas
had NO idea Caleb was going to turn on Brad and drag almost everyone
else with him! Caleb said HE didn't know...but the distrust has
been buibbling in him for so long...he just had to let it out. Hayden
thinks the same thing Ciera does: Caleb's coup has left Hayden and
Vytas in a vulnerable state, since now Ciera and Katie can now work
on bringing Caleb to THEIR side and spelling doom for the guys in
the tribe. He says it best: "You never know what happens in
this game."
NIGHT 10 - REDEMPTION ISLAND: YOU'D THINK
HE WAS FRENCH...
Brad awakens John and Candice Cody from a deep sleep, saying he's
"waving the white flag". He's proud of Caleb (thinking
he learned from Coulton...except, of course, that Caleb hasn't QUIT
yet!!) but he's wary about the couple and what they'll think of
him being there. Candice is GLAD for Brad being here...that means
the Codys can send his royal backside PACKING! But Brad does apologize
to Candice for blindsiding John. But Candice does not believe him...and
she's certain revenge will be THEIRS! (cue "Mwah hah hah"
SFX)
DAY 11 - REDEMPTION DUEL: A GAME OF BRIDGE
RI Arena...and to say Galang is shocked
(and somewhat relieved) at Brad being gone...understatement of the
decade! Monica's the only one who takes it hard. In comes the Codys
and Brad (complete with his torch) for the next Duel. Almost immediately,
Monica wants to take Brad's spot on RI...but Brad is against it
100%. Candice admits that his anger towards Brad was just from hearsay
from those banished. Monica's feelings had been hurt from Candice's
tirade two days before...but Candice retorts that HER feelings were
hurt when Monica wrote HER name down on Day 1!
Now the Duel (another rehash; this
time, a Duel from South Pacific). They take a crate apart,
plank by plank, and use the 20 planks to make a bridge to cross.
Once across, the bridge is disassembled and eight of the planks
are used to make a puzzle. First two to make their puzzle stick
around RI again. The other one goes home as the fifth loser. And,
of course, a 3I clue goes from the winner to anyone of his/her choosing
still in the game.
"Survivors, ready....GO!!"
The Codys each take out one side of
planks and start to build...while Brad takes ALL the planks out
first. Candice goes into the lead (and Jeff incorrectly states that
Candice is unbeaten at RI Arena; John beat her last time) while
the men battle for second. The bridge is a puzzle onto itself...and
John has a plank that doesn't fit, thus opening the door for Brad
to step up. Candice starts to slow down, allowing both men to catch-up.
John is the first to finish his bridge, with Brad close behind.
Candice is two planks behind on the bridge.
John and Brad recross the bridge and
take the planks off one by one, looking for the twelve with paint
on them to make the puzzle (though only eight are needed for the
puzzle itself). After their bridges are torn apart, Candice FINALLY
finishes hers. She all but RIPS the planks off as John and Brad
start their puzzles (and Galang cheers on Monica's hubby). Some
woman shouts "yin yang in the middle" as a hint to what
the Duelists are looking for...though whom it's directed to is unknown.
The planks are shuffled, the hands fly fast...
...and John's the first to complete
it! JOHN STAYS ALIVE!
Now...will it be all Tadhana on RI...or
will the Codys reign again? John verbally helps Candice while Monica
roots for Brad. Both get VERY close...
...and, by mere seconds...BRAD
STAYS ALIVE!!
The men get one step closer to Redemption...while
the only person left not to actually play one second of the game
this time is only the second Veteran to be sent home. She says it's
the hardest thing, leaving her hubby to fend for himself. John STILL
has some regrets not switching places with her on Day 1. She spent
61 days as part of Tribes in the past at Cook Islands and
Heroes vs. Villians ...but her 11 days on Redemption Island
are all she's given this time around. The Buff(TM) is burnt and
she heads back to D.C. to get some work done BEFORE the government's
shut down!
John, once again, gets to give the
3I clue to someone. Once again, he decides to give it to Monica.
And, once again, Monica tosses it on top of a burning Buff (once
again at Brad's prompting). So...status quo is maintained. The guys
go back to RI, the Tribes return to their beaches.
AFTERNOON
11: FROM WORSE TO WORST?
Ciera is talking about the @#$% the
Tribe has gone through these last 11 days: heat, hunger, insect
bites in places they didn't even know they had "places".
Add to that the fact that they've failed EVERY SINGLE TIME to win
a Challenge makes her QUITE downhearted. Katie's feeling it, too;
from wearing wet sneakers all the time, she has a severe case of
athlete's foot called "tinea"...and she's losing her toenails
because of it.
Vytas is more worried about the game
than the injuries...but recognizes that the injuries could cause
them to continue LOSING in the game. But he's ALSO concerned about
where Caleb's loyalties lie. So, out on the canoe, Vytas talks to
Caleb about it..with finesse, though, since you can't trust anyone
who turns on a dime like he did last night. Caleb stays quiet, knowing
he's now the "Big Kahuna" of the Tribe and that he can
"swing with the girls or...swing with the boys." (INSERT
LGBT JOKE HERE)
DAY 12 ...
Uhhhh...CBS got nothin' so...
DAY 13: C'MON AND FEEL THE...LACK
OF NOIZE
ONE thing Vytas likes about Brad not
being at camp: things are MUCH quieter. He has time for yoga and
to, as Depeche Mode puts it, "enjoy the silence". In fact,
the entire Tribe climbs up a mountain to take in the beauty of the
Philippines. They agree that they have to have better Tribal chemistry
to win this next Challenge. Ciera feels it more than anyone, not
wanting to scramble like she has been the last four times.
REWARD/IMMUNITY CHALLENGE:
SLIDE SHOW
Challenge Beach has the water slides
set up for the Survivors. Mr. Immuni-Ugly gets taken back from Galang
and Uncle Jeff explains this Challenge: one Tribe Member goes down
this slide and grabs a ring en route down. They must then toss said
ring onto a post to earn a point for their Tribe. The process continues
until one Tribe gets to five points. That Tribe goes back home with
Mr. Immuni-Ugly and waits for the outcome of Tribal Council to be
revealeed to them at the next Redemption Duel. And, of course, Reward
is also in play. If Galang wins (again), they get a steak dinner
kit: four steaks, cutting board and knife, wok, and a BUNCH of spices
and seasonings. If Tadhana (somehow) wins, they can have that OR
the fishing gear that Jeff keeps teasing them with. Galang sits
out Monica and the two Lauras out.
First round is Gervase vs. Caleb. "Survivors,
ready....GO!!" And WHEEEEEE! Gervase grabs his ring...Caleb
knocks his off the slide and has to run back and get it. Gervase
tosses...and misses. Caleb underhand tosses...and SCORES! GAL 0:1
TAD
Next is Tyson (whose arm seems to be
MUCH better) vs. Hayden. Down they go, nailing their rings and bounding
right back up. They both miss their first tosses...but while Hayden
JUST missed the second toss, Tyson SCORES! GAL 1:1 TAD
Third round: Kat vs. Katie. They slip
slide away. Kat grabs her ring...Katie misses hers (and gets an
atomic wedgie to boot). Kat shoots...and misses. Katie regroups...she
shoots...BRICK! Kat...miss again. Katie shoots...she SCORES! GAL
1:2 TAD
Next: Civil War Part II - Aran vs.
Vytas. Both bros come up with their rings quickly and both toss
at just about the same time...but Vytas SCORES! THERE's the revenge
for the Sumo at Sea defeat! GAL 1:3 TAD
Tina vs. Ciera in Round 5. Both girls
miss their first toss. Ciera ALMOST gets it but it bounces out.
Tina shoots...she SCORES! GAL 2:3 TAD
Now that everyone's gone once, nearly
everyone must go again. Caleb vs. Tyson for this round. Caleb again
knocks the ring away but keeps it in front of him...but it's Tyson
up first. Shoots...miss! Caleb shoots...misses this time. Tyson
launches nicely but misses. Caleb underhands again...and SCORES!
GAL 2:4 TAD
Tadhana is one point away from their
first Challenge win! It's up to Hayden to win it and Gervase to
prevent it. Ciera says "Cross everything." "Survivors,
ready....GO!!" Down they go...rings grabbed quickly. Gervase...misses.
Hayden...misses. Gervase...bricks. Hayden...is short! Gervase...in-and-out.
Hayden...off the backboard and SCORES!! TADHANA (FINALLY)
WINS IMMUNITY AND REWARD!!!
Oh, five people have never been so
happy to receive such a butt-ugly statue in your life! Galang is
FINALLY getting their torches lit as they kick a Vet (or the one
Loved One) to Redemption Island. As for choice of Reward, they choose
the turf over the surf (steak over fishing gear).
Hail the conquering heroes...
TRIBAL COUNCIL:
TELL LAURA (M.) I LOVE HER
Well, so much for Galang being a tightly
knit Vet unit. Instead of tossing out the only non-Vet of the group,
they toss out the Samoa Vet unanimously. Oh, sure, Laura
B. makes herself useful around the camp but...that's never stopped
people from voting them out before! Ah, well, not my problem...
