So far... ten familial pairs
were split into two tribes of all-stars and loved ones.
But it's been all loved-ones getting the shaft, from
Gervase's niece Marissa on Redemption Island to
Candice's hubby John at Tribal Council. Can the Loved
Ones over at Tadhana stem the tide, or will the
bloodletting continue?

On Redemption Island,
Brad is busy licking his wounds after Caleb's power
play. And before John and Candice can get to things that
are unsuitable for the 8pm hour, Brad comes waving the
white flag. And rather than being angry, they're pleased
as punch. Live by the sword, die by the sword, I guess.
"Your real alliance is
your spouse," he says.
... AGAIN, BRAD
CULPEPPER... In the game of Survivor... IT'S KILL OR BE
KILLED, LIVE BY THE SWORD, DIE BY THE SWORD. IF YOU DO
NOT KNOW THIS, THEN FRANKLY, YOU SUCK AT THE GAME AND
YOU DO NOT DESERVE TO PLAY IT.
NIGHT 10: "We can see!"
Fire in the night means
that you can see a lot of things that you wouldn't
normally see in the daytime, like... people sleeping...
and Laura getting her hands around Aras. Literally. She
hopes that he thinks the same way. And of course,
because he won, he's hip to the whole flirt-for-keeps
thing. His core is him, Monica, Tina, Tyson, and Gervase.
Laura M. knows that she's on the outs, so she's trying
to play up some likeability.
Meanwhile, Laura Boneham
is still trying to get to know everyone, a clique of
Survivor vets to the ONE relative newbie.
DAY 11: REDEMPTION DUEL:
Breaking Bad
Before we get into it,
Monica offers to take Brad's spot. Brad rebuffs the
offer, saying that he's not here because he's a jerk.
Funny, that's exactly why you were voted out, so... why
ARE you here then?
In this duel, take apart
a crate to build a bridge. Then take apart the bridge to
solve a puzzle. First two wins.
John is the first to
finish his bridge. Brad is close behind. And Candice is
close behind that. The men have all of their pieces. Now
it's a race to put 12 puzzle pieces in the grid. Eight
of them will fit. Four will not.
WINNER: JOHN! And in
second... close behind... by a HAIR... BRAD! So the
doctor will not regenerate as Candice Cody is leaving
her husband to fend for himself.
Meanwhile, John decides
to give his clue to Immunity to Monica. And, as before,
Brad tells his woman exactly what she can do with it.
You have to wonder what Mark Burnett thinks of all of
this burning of clues
Back at camp, Tina would
be surprised if Brad DIDN'T come back into the game.
Monica's hoping beyond hope that he makes it to the
merge, so she can dump that tight coalition of five she
calls an alliance, and make it to the end with Brad.
Tina suspects without Brad in the competitive mix,
Monica is stepping her game up. She thinks that she's
either a big threat or a big asset, but which one
remains to be seen.
DAY 12: IMMUNITY CHALLENGE:
Slide for Life
A friend of the site, an
alumnus of "The Amazing Race", and even more important
than that a classmate from UNC and friend of mine,
Justin Young, put it THIS way...
"Wait, that was an #immunitychallenge?!?
Basically waterslide with modified horseshoes/ring toss?
No puzzle? No swimming? #tooeasy #Survivor"
Ahem... first team to 5
ringers wins Immunity. And of course, you also have a
reward to play for. Fishing gear... Tadhana.... or a
barbecue meal!
Sitting out for Galang:
Monica and the Lauras. Sounds like a band.
Round 1: Gervase vs.
Caleb. WINNER... Caleb (Tadhana lead, 1-0)
Round 2: Tyson vs. Hayden. WINNER... Tyson (Tied at 1)
Round 3: Kat vs. Katie. WINNER... Katie (Tadhana lead,
2-1)
Round 4: Aras vs. Vytas. WINNER of the GRUDGE MATCH...
Vytas (Tadhana lead, 3-1)
Round 5: Tina vs. Ciera. WINNER... Tina (Tadhana lead,
3-2)
Round 6: Tyson vs. Caleb.
WINNER... Caleb (Tadhana lead, 4-2)
GAME POINT: Gervase vs. Hayden... WINNER... HAYDEN!
WINNER: TADHANA! Which
means for the first time since Night Zero, the Galangs
are going to Tribal Council.
And rather than fish,
Tadhanas want steak.
Now that Tribal looms,
it's time to think about who is going home. Laura B is
thinking... it could be her. Because the first tribe
ousted her first on Day 1. She just wants to be very
aware right now... and mix a few thinks up... starting
with Kat. "She's at the bottom... so she's going to say
what she wants to say."
Kat feels like she's in
the Alliance of 5, but the other Lauras don't feel
they're inside. And if anyone should be scared, it's
Laura B... because she annoys the hell out of everyone.
It should be an easy pick-off, right? Should be 7-1,
right? Done deal, right?
"Just because it's easy
doesn't mean you should do it." THANKS, ARAS!
If Brad loses at
Redemption, then Monica is OURS to do with what she
will. So who would be the best person to try and off
Culpepper? This question and tons more as we arrive to
our first...
NIGHT
12: TRIBAL COUNCIL
Take your torch and
receive your flame. Fire represents life.
Gervase says how crazy it
is to be at Tribal Council after 13 years. Tina... same
deal. She remembers thinking playing more in day 5 of
season 2 than in the entire season. "It's not just you."
Monica says that blood-vs.-water makes the stakes
higher. Who has the most power in the merge and who
still has a loved one? Aras hints that someone in the
alliance may flip to their loved one. Laura M. says that
"there's a time when you have to cut the apron strings."
Gervase says that Laura M and Ciera are close, but it's
also threatening; same can be said for anyone. Laura B
says.. she feels part of the tribe and part of the play.
She says she belongs here. Monica agrees, having seen
what she does. "That's what they always say before you
vote them out. Greatest tribesmember ever." The other
thing... She hasn't felt the sting of having her torch
snuffed.
Will she tonight?
Laura M: LAURA B - "It's
been really great playing with you, but there's only
room for one Laura on this island."
Laura B: LAURA M - "I'm really sorry that someone has to
go home, but I'm really happy that there'll be one Laura
on the island."
The others... are for...
Laura.... MORETT. By a vote of 7-1,... LAURA MORETT....
THE TRIBE HAS SPOKEN. They're putting you up against
Brad Culpepper. You know what you have to do.
