Last week, ten teams of two,
joined by a special relationship, were marooned on the
islands of the Philippines. But this proved to be a
little less than amazing, as they were quickly separated
into the standard two tribes. The Galang tribe, composed
mostly of returning players, went neck and neck against
the Tadhana tribe of their loved ones. Ultimately, the
returning players won Immunity, and Marissa, Gervase's
niece, lost her place in the game (thanks to a call of
unsportsmanlike conduct on Gervase's part) to a spot in
Redemption Island, where two of the game's best -
Candice and Rupert - await her arrival.

NIGHT 3: On Redemption Island.
Marissa was just
blindsided, and she's pissed that people are pissed
about Gervase rubbing it in. Candice thought it was a
clown move, bro, but it wasn't the first time.
DAY 4: Communal back rubs....
The tribe engages in a
train back rub... except for Colton, who is... back to
being a little bitch. "I don't want this (tribe) to be
the final 9." He just needs to get back to Caleb. Seems
like he is Colton's X factor, but that's another show on
another network. Meanwhile, Colton volunteers himself to
go to Tribal. Aras calls BS (and is probably the first
to do so) on the new and improved Colton Cumbie.
"What is strategy? We are
a unit! We are unity! We are peace! We are zen! We are
STUPID!" WHO ELSE BUT COLTON!
Note!

IT IS TIME FOR THE ENTIRE TRIBE
TO HEAD TO REDEMPTION ISLAND ARENA AND WITNESS TODAY'S DUEL TO SEE WHO MAINTAINS
HOPE IN THIS GAME, AND WHO IS GOING HOME FOR GOOD. |
|
REDEMPTION DUEL:
Tricky Track Stack
Rupert, Candice, and Marissa will head into the arena
and immediately talk about Gervase's salt in the wound.
He can swap with Marissa and play the Duel if he feels
bad about it. He does not. So we go to this...
The three
will hook a spool onto a pole and navigate an
aggravating maze to the top of the grid and put the pool
on a landing pad. To make it even more interesting, the
whole structure is sitting on a spring, meaning that the
more you touch it, the more it will move and topple the
stack over. The first two players to stack all 10 of
their spools will remain on Redemption Island. The other
one... going home.
Rupert is
the first to lose his cool and lose his stack. Candice,
on the other hand, is FIRST to finish. Second...
MARISSA! Rupert is the first one DONE in Blood vs.
Water. He leaves, though, with no regrets.
As the
winner of the Duel, Candice gets to determine who gets a
clue to a hidden Immunity Idol. Of course, she's giving
it to her husband John.
The tribe
heads back to their area to commiserate. And Colton is
not having any of it. He's going to Gervase and telling
him that Laura Morett is a threat to win this game....
and tells Laura that Tyson is a threat to win the
game... and tells Tina that Gervase is on board to get
rid of Aras... and you get it. He's stirring the pot.
Too hard, if you ask me, but then again, this is why he
was chosen to play and I, well... wasn't.
NIGHT 4: Trying
too hard for $400, Alex.
Kat goes to Colton and talks to him about overplaying
his hand too early. Unlike previous attempts, Kat
actually threatens to go to her mark herself for the
answer. Colton calls it "ruling in chaos". You really
don't want to start drama this early. Otherwise, it's
going to be a long 39 days.
DAY 5:
"Everyone's being super sketchy and I don't know why."
Someone needs to deflate Colton before he
self-destructs. The rest of the tribe gets together to
try and nip this in the bud, because this game does not
have to be a game of fear. Tyson: "He is a gay Russell
Hantz." No one wants to play with Gay Russell Hantz.
Tyson, Aras, Gervase, Tina, and Monica are entered into
an alliance. We'll call them the Don't Say Anything
Alliance.
DAY 6:
R/I-CHALLENGE: Island Skee-Ball (for fishing gear; Kat
sits out)
Three tribesmen, tied together, will roll a fourth in a
barrel through a course of flagpoles, collecting a set
of balls on each. At the end of the course, they're
going to have to roll the balls up a skee-ball ramp and
fill six target holes. First tribe to do it wins
Immunity.
Tadhana is
the first to the ramp... and the first to two. It's all
tied up at three... and Gervase is on fire.
WINNER:
GALANG! "MARISSA!!!!! THAT'S FOR YOU, BABY!"
So despite
Colton's best (lack of) effort, he's going to stay in
the game for a spell longer.
NIGHT 6:
Tribal Council...
It was between John and
Rachel... and Rachel was left out in the cold, joining
Candice and Marissa on Redemption Island.
