Blood
on the Dance Floor
August 3
Previously on Rivals, Wes and Kenny won a
challenge for the first time ever this season. But Evan decided to
throw not only the challenge, but also Nehemiah under the proverbial
bus. They then decide to take on C.T. and Adam in the jungle in the
Rail Side game. But once again they've proved there's no stopping
their journey toward the big money.
Challenge #7: Sawed Off
Half of each team will control a high-power water hose, leaving their
partners hanging out over the water. They have to shoot down their
partners into the water within 20 minutes. The male and female teams
who complete the challenge in the fastest times wins.
The eight pairs will be grouped up into two teams of four each. Since
Kenny and Wes and Cara Maria and Laurel have won the previous
challenge, they're the team captains.
WES & KENNY'S TEAM
Paula & Evelyn
Johnny & Tyler
Jasmine & Jonna
CARA MARIA & LAUREL'S TEAM
C.T. & Adam
Jenn & Mandi
Leroy & Michael
Wes and Kenny's team then decides to have the other team go first.
This might be a good decision for them Cara Maria & Laurel's team had
maxed out timewise.
Wes and Kenny's good decision proves to be confirmed as they complete
the challenge in 17 minutes and 48 seconds.
The male pair Johnny and Tyler had the fastest time among the winning
team, giving them another $2,000. For the girls, Paula and Evelyn also
had their fastest time among the winning team. They are safe from
going into the Jungle and they're guaranteed to be the first pair of
female finalists. Sadly, Laurel and Cara Maria have lost their chance
to build their winning streak as they're sent into the final jungle
for the girls.
After another two-minutes worth of deliberations, the teams once again
vote Jasmine and Jonna into the jungle. Then almost all of the players
not in the jungle wear blue in support of Jasmine and Jonna. This also
lets the players rub their noses at Cara Maria and Laurel.
Jungle Game: Blast Off
The players are attached to their partners, matched up two-on-two in
football helmets and shoulder pads against their opponents in a
circle. They must tackle their opponent out of the circle. The first
team to get their opponents out of the circle three times wins.
Despite not having the support of the other players, Cara Maria and
Laurel win with a sweep. They make it to the final challenge while
Jasmine and Jonna have to go home after being so close to the end.
There's only one male elimination left, but they'll be leaving Costa
Rica for Buenos Aires, Argentina. The players have already witnessed
that the challenges have been kicked up a notch, but the ante will be
upped for what's in store. Cara Mara has a feeling that they're not
going to Buenos Aires for fun. Oh how right she'll be.
