Through
the Looking Glass
June 29
The first episode of Rivals is already in
the books. Leroy and Adam R. split $2,000 for winning the High Dive
challenge. But one half of that team got ejected after Adam R. got
provoked by Tyrie into fighting him. Michael is now Leroy's new
partner. Then in the Jungle, Aneesa and Robin lost a game of Hands On
to Ev and Paula. The girls have had their first turn for elimination,
and it's now time for the guys to have their turn.
Challenge #2: Car Crusher
Two teams at a time will start inside the tractor, sitting on each
other's laps, with one person steering and the other controlling the
bucket. Communication will play an important role, although it's going
to be a problem with some of the teams. When T.J. gives the signal, a
team will pick a car out of a lineup and drag it through the field to
the crush zone. Once a team gets there, they'll crush the car into the
ground. Once they deem the car is low enough, they must slide it into
their goal without tipping the crossbar.
Teams may not pick up the car at any time. If the machine they operate
crosses any boundary line, they're automatically disqualified. The guy
and girl teams who complete the task the fastest wins.
Ty & Brandon - DQ (car pick up)
Johnny & Tyler - Completed
Theresa & Camila - Completed
Jenn & Mandi - DQ (out of bounds)
Kenny & Wes - DQ (out of bounds)
Evan & Nehemiah - Completed
Jasmine & Jonna - DQ (crossbar knock-off)
Sarah & Katelynn - DQ (out of bounds)
Davis & Tyrie - Completed
C.T. & Adam - Completed
Cara Maria & Laurel - DQ (crossbar knock-off)
Paula & Evelyn - Completed
Leroy & Michael - Completed
The winners on the girls' side are Evelyn and Paula who beat out
Camila and Theresa and they split $2,000. On the guys' side Adam and
C.T. beat out Leroy and Michael, to win immunity from the jungle. Wes
and Kenny's DQ right out of the gate in that challenge puts them into
the jungle. For the deliberations, Davis and Tyrie are called out, and
are sent into the jungle against Kenny and Wes.
Jasmine and Jonna get into an argument with Camila and Theresa, after
Camila mistakenly calls Jonna "Jasmine," and when Jasmine becomes
involved in the argument, she later vents her anger by punching a
mirror in one of the rooms.
Jungle Game: Blast Off
The players are attached to their partners, matched up two-on-two in
football helmets and shoulder pads against their opponents in a
circle. They must tackle their opponent out of the circle. The first
team to get their opponents out of the circle three times wins.
Kenny and Wes win this game, pushing Davis and Tyrie out of Costa
Rica.
In the meantime, Evan, Kenny and Johnny try to offer their support for
Adam, but they realize that he's partnered with CT, who is despised by
the other competitors.
