Last week, 15 of America's
best and brightest teachers came together to play on our
Teachers' Tournament. Of those, nine survive to play
this week - five game winners and four wild-cards. Now
only three teachers - two wild cards and automatic
qualifier John Pearson - have a shot at $100,000 and a
spot in the next Tournament of Champions. What challenges await these educators? How will they rise to meet them? The answers to these questions could be worth $100,000 for the winner, $50,000 for the first runner-up, and $25,000 for the second runner-up in a standard two-match affair. PART ONE!

Daily Double #2: $1600 Charter School. Mary Beth has almost a 2-to-1 lead over John, $16,600 to John's $8600. She bets $600 on this: the Pfaffenbrief or Priests' Charter of 1370 made the first mention of a confederation that became this country. "What is Germany?" No, it's Switzerland, leaving her with $16,000. At the end of Double Jeopardy!...
