Episode 8
April 23
The mobile game show unit
is in place... Wink has his microphone... This game show
gravy train is ready for one more ride.
First up, we have Jake "the Snake", a
27-year-old digital artist and father-to-be who is afraid of spiders,
claims to play the guitar, and would like to visit the Death Star. He
thinks his wife brought him to a birthing class, but at the end of the
day, he may be the one to have a baby, as hidden cameras and mics are
wired and live.
First, instructor Lucy bequeaths a poem:
M for maternal, O for ovulation, T for tender nipples, H for Hawaii, E
for eek, and R for Ricardo Montalban. Next, the dads get used to pain.
We also meet Lucy's partner Meadow, who's a flautist. A right good one
at that. Meanwhile, the dads will get a whole glass of cherryade. The
whole glass. This is to fill up their bladders. They are starting to
twitch. Reggie's gets a little help from Lucy. Next, a preggo suit and a
bed with stirrups.
And now, Jake's wife has a question...
"Do you like game shows?"
First up, we're going to spot Jake
$500 for his time. And he's playing the game in the preggo suit.
GAME 1: Instant Reward (for a Garmin
GPS)
Men's baseball caps. Which one was Dave
wearing? He goes with the beige one... Not it. It was navy.
GAME 2: MOTHER (for $500)
Try to remember Lucy's lovely poem... He
does... not. He misses the M. And completely muffs the game.
Next up, let's meet TWO players! Dorothy
is a 24-year-old server from Fairfax, VA, who likes the name "Autumn"
for a baby, wants to be a model, can ballroom dance, and laughs at
people falling. She'll compete against Marisol, a 24-year-old artist
from Houston who is afraid of roaches, has 5 dreams a night, and wants
to go to Ben & Jerry's after all is said and done. They think they're
interviewing for a waiter job, but they're about to get served...
They both meet catering manager Robin and
Derek, a liaison for a welcoming party from China, led by Jay, who's
about as Chinese as I am. They learn how to serve to the Chinese,
from handling the tray to confronting the served, and... smiling.
Needless to say, Jay has a problem with this... and her English is
limited to two questions... "Can I ask you a question?" and... well, you
know.
Dorothy and Marisol get $500 for having
to put up with all of that. Remember,
this is a head-to-head round, meaning that the winner will keep all the
money. The loser... just gets the $500.
GAME 1: Speed Round (for $150)
1) What city was Derek from?
MARISOL: Washington, DC ($150)
2) How many glasses were on the tray you
were given?
MARISOL: Four ($300)
3) Including both of you, how many people
in the room were women?
MARISOL: Five (Six)
4) What was the catering manager's name?
MARISOL: Robin ($450)
GAME 2: Spot the Difference (for $1000)
Which one is wearing something slightly
different? Dorothy goes with D, while Marisol goes with E. Correct... E!
So Marisol leaves with $1950, while Dorothy leaves with $500... and no
one caused an international incident. Imagine that.
That'll do it for this season of "Instant
Recall". Will Wink, Angela, and the GSNMGSU be recalled for another
season or just... recalled? That's for them to decide. Whatever they do
decide... try to look surprised.
If it's any indication... Angela did quit
after this show, so...
