5 Chefs Compete
November 24

Six chefs... Six black jackets. But when it came time to act as one cohesive unit... true to form, it went all to hell. Can they pull it back now that Sabrina, a source of antagonism amongst all of the chefs, is a non-factor?

Gail survived Sabrina's last minute plea, and now she has to prove herself to Ramsay to stick around. Meanwhile, Jillian says that Gail can't really handle her station.

CHALLENGE #12: Downtown Power Lunch (clientele)

Each chef will cook from a food truck and create an exquisite lunch. The most popular dish will win the challenge. They have one hour to create their portions, then they'll hit the ground running... literally.

Nona: Chicken Salad & Bacon Sandwich
Jillian: Herb Chicken with Vegetables
Trev: Penne Pasta with Sausage
Russell: Grilled Octopus & Saffron Salad
Gail: Skirt Steak with Mangos & Pecans

Sixty-one percent said that this was the worst dish... It was... RUSSELL. With 40% preferred, the best dish belongs to... GAIL! Nona was a close second with 38%. Gail is going to get made over by Jose Eber in Beverly Hills.. and Steven "Cojo" Cojocaru in Hollywood. The rest of the crew is fixing up the outside of HK for tomorrow's service.

And Trev... isn't taking the loss like a man.

At the punishment, It's Russell vs. Jillian. And to add insult to injury, the food trucks from the challenge need to be cleaned as well. And Trev... isn't really playing team ball. And that surprises absolutely no one.

The next day brings the next service. Remember, to succeed as individuals, they have to work as a group. Jillian is not feeling the team love as the others are. Gail knows that she's got a target on her back the size of the San Andreas.

Tonight, Nona and Russell are on apps. Jillian is on fish. Gail has garnishes. Trev is on meat.

Let's keep it hood... Let's keep it gangsta. OPEN HELL'S KITCHEN!

DINNER SERVICE #12

Cojo is at Four Top. It's a good start... but Jillian has never cooked scallops... and it shows. Meanwhile, a dignified table of 12 enters... The few... The proud... the Marines. Pressure is on to perform. Jillian gets the scallops going... but now the pasta's gone. Forty-five minutes into the service, and apps are flowing. Now comes... Paris Hilton... Meh.

Meat and fish have to be pushed out... Jillian's getting a little flustered. Russell leaves HIS station to help. And now Cojo is cranky.

Two hours into service, and fish is leaving the kitchen perfectly. Now the chefs have to work together to build momentum. Gail's garnish... is not helping matters. It's not ready. Ramsay is threatening to walk out... a threat he would later make good on, as, for only the second time in HK history, he and sous-chef Scott head to the exit for a breather.

Put that out of your mind... Recover. Nona and Russell step up to try and get food out. Trev's beef is overcooked, and they're being refired. WHY?! Nona's apps, though... powerful good.

Few entrees are leaving the kitchen, and Ramsay is back to take his position, switching up the team for strength. Two and a half hours into service, and entrees are flying out of the kitchen, but their biggest challenge... the Marine table.. still ahead of them. Gail's salmon crapper sends her to the showers, leaving four to take on the 12-top. Jillian messed up another order, leaving the guys (and Nona) to finish the service on a high.

... and that they do. But not without fault, perhaps the biggest fault in HK history. The crew comes up with two names for elimination.

Gail votes for herself, with Jillian saying that she can't handle the pressure. Jillian knows that she sucked, but at the same time, she didn't give up.

ELIMINATION #12:

Nona names Gail (was in her own bubble) and Trev (absolute disaster on meat). Ramsay also nominates Jillian for the raw egg... but lets the nominations stand as is.

Gail says that she still has so much more to give. Trev says that he still has excellence.

GAIL... is leaving Hell's Kitchen tonight.

"Gail's performance in Hell's Kitchen was up and down, up and down, and up and down. Roller coasters are great for amusement parks, not kitchens."

Final four up. Now it's time to prove yourself.
