Gina keeps finding ways to get out of
exercise... and yet she finds ways to survive. Francelina ends up on the
south end of the red line after the group fails to meet a 50-plus weight
loss goal for the week. Now we're down to six, as the losers and their
kid-bassadors prepare to face their worst nightmares.
As we begin the next phase of
the competition...
Danni: 194
Gina: 180
Joe: 273
Jackson: 261
Alex: 195
Jeff: 308
Nowhere is Francelina's ouster more of a
shocker than with Jeff... But here's another shocker! ... She's not the
only one leaving tonight. Someone ELSE is leaving the ranch... for a
week. DAMN YOU, ALISON SWEENEY!
CHALLENGE #11: Save Your Neighbor
This week, you're going to face the fear
of leaving the ranch for a week. You'll have to face the same challenge
as everyone else. All you have to do is protect your friends by putting
up cinder blocks over their pictures. You cannot cover your own picture.
Once your picture is covered, you are safe. The last one standing will
be exiting the ranch for the week. BUT the person who stacks the most
blocks will win a one-pound advantage on the scale.
JEFF is the first one safe, followed by
Alex, Jackson is trying his damnedest to throw this challenge.
Meanwhile, Joe and Danni are safe. That leaves Gina, who's been a stark
raving bitch all week, and Jackson, who just wants to go home. And...
ask for what you wanted, get what you got. Jackson, YOU ARE GOING HOME
TONIGHT. For a week. All he's left to do is tell Gina to keep fighting
the fight and not to break down for a second.
Meanwhile, Danni had 19 bricks... but Joe
had 20. Joe has a one-pound advantage. As for Jackson... turns out that
he's going to face his fear as a test-run. And... he won't be alone. He
decides to take...
... a break. While we see how Francie's
doing in a FOLLOW! So far, she's lost close to 100 pounds! And she looks
foine. Good for her.
So who's going to go with Jackson? ...
"I'll go." That's Jeff and Jackson on a "man-cation". The rest of the
team isn't off the hook, because each one will face their fears at some
point over the next 105 minutes.
Jackson and Jeff are somewhere in Los
Angeles... in a non-descript house with water and ZERO groceries. Time
to take what you've learned on the ranch OFF the ranch. You have money
to spend, you have bikes, and you have gym equipment. Use all three
wisely.
Let's talk to the kids. Lindsay's going
to face her fear of being diagnosed with diabetes. So she'll be made to
see what it's like to be diabetic. Michelle (Biingo's mom) tells Bob
that Biingo is afraid of vegetables. For real. So Michelle's going to
blend the vegetables and trick them into Biingo's system. Hey, you can
do anything with a Vitamix. As for Sunny, her greatest fear is losing
her mum to obesity. That she's not getting healthy is affecting her
journey. She's going to face her fear by ... well, you saw the teaser.
She's going to have the heart-to-heart with mum.
Grocery run! You can see more of that and
the rest of Jeff & Jackson's Excellent Adventure at biggestloser.com.
You'll learn about Jeff's fear of failure and Jackson's fear of ...
well, he never said.
Gina is feeling very isolated, as she's
never been in a position where people never liked her. Well, that just
means you've never really challenged yourself. She's so co-dependent
that being here is breaking her spirit piece by piece, and it seems that
she's always been that way. When she doesn't get that back, she pretty
much explodes and destroys the relationship. Everything she does for
other people, she needs to do for herself. And there's still time to get
back on track.
Off the ranch, Jackson & Jeff are going
to hit coffee, then hit the trails. They're going to get on the top of
the not-Hollywood mountain. And there they are.
Let's go around the nation and see if we
can't get Biingo to eat his vegetables, starting with meatloaf. And...
this just might work. And.... then Michelle tells her pride and joy of
eating vegetables. Damn it, you don't tell him!
Back to Gina... we're always going back
to Gina. Good television character, she is. Anyway, she's afraid of
small spaces, classic claustrophobic, so guess what Jillian wants her to
do... she wants her to be her own one-woman funeral. Coffin and all. And
while she takes a while to think about death, we'll take a break.
... after which, Gina comes to an
epiphany... "I have a second chance." Let the process work, and it will
save your life. That's basically what she's saying.
Heading up the I-5 to Fillmore, where we
see Lindsay talking to a counselor at her school... who has diabetes.
Right now, she takes five pills, checks her blood three times a day, and
gives herself insulin shots before going to bed. And Lindsay is scared
of needles. The excrement has just been rendered as fact. And we've said
this before, we'll say it again. Lindsay, you have a second chance.
CHALLENGE #12: Look Out Below!
The six are reunited for a challenge that
takes place at the top of a parking garage. Seven stories up, the Losers
are going to be standing on a platform, holding onto 40 percent of your
body weight. If you drop the weight.... we'll drop you. The last one
still standing (see what we did there, kids?) wins Immunity.
After five minutes... Jeff.... LOOK OUT
BELOW! Then Jackson... then Alex.... then Joe.... then after 21
minutes... and finally Danni. GINA wins immunity. No going home this
week. Oh, and Gina... before you let go of that wench.... LOOK OUT
BELOW!
So we had vegetables and diabetes... time
to talk to your mother. Sunny bears all to her mum, and in the end...
she's not angry so much as she's using anger and guilt as a defense
mechanism. Then Sunny drops the "D" word on her. To know that her
daughter is scared of her dying scares HER. And it's something she's
taking to heart. They're going to go on this journey and do it together.
Mother and daughter. Again.... You have a second chance.
Hey look, a three-minute commercial for a
snack. Afterwards, Danni has HER moment... she has a fear of singing in
front of a crowd. MEANWHILE, Bob is taking Joe out to take a swim to
what he thinks are shark-infested water. He thinks he's afraid of
sharks, but he's really afraid of losing control. We just want to remind
you that Bob is a certified physical trainer, not a psychologist. Both
will ultimately go on to conquer their fear, but first... ALL RISE for
the National Anthem as performed by Danni.
... yeah, it's a little pitchy, dawg.
So while Jackson & Jeff are wondering
what the girls in the house are doing, the girls are wondering what THEY
are doing. Meanwhile, Gina is, again, playing the game to win. She
starts by apologizing for being an SRB for the last week to Alex.
Because an apology will make a difference if it's sincere.
So.... Last Chance Workout. Jackson and
Jeff are doing this on their own. They need to prove that they can do
this in the real world, at least to themselves. Let's take out the
trash... with some squats thrown in. Jackson's doing his best Dolvett
impersonation. And Dolvett is doing his best Jackson impersonation...
Joe may have a one-pound advantage, but a guy his size is going to need
more than that to stick around. Jillian knows this, so she's making him
work. Meanwhile, Bob is using the "stick stratagem" to work Alex. The
stick stratagem is basically holding the "carrot", in this case, Gina,
in front of the pack horse, in this case, Alex, to push Alex to work
harder.
Will it work?
CHALLENGE AMERICA: Let's see what the
kids in Sunny's community are doing. They're playing tennis. They're
shuttle running. They're drinking water. Remember the 8 by 8 rule, kids.
Eight ounces of water, 8 times a day.
Time for the Losers to face the biggest
fear of all.... the scale.
WEIGH-IN #9
Yellow line is in play. And after Jill
lays it into Jackson for volunteering to leave... and Jeff lays it into
Jill for DOING SO...
Reminder: if Gina GAINS weight, her
immunity is null and void.
Danni: 184 (-10) - 5.15%
Joe (+1): 261 (-12) - 4.76%.
The first person to lose 100 pounds.
Jeff: 295 (-13) - 4.22%
Jackson: 250 (-11) - 4.21%
Alex: 187 (-8) - 4.10%
Gina: 173 (-7) - 3.89%
It's good that Gina won immunity, because
she would've been in serious danger. Time to vote... In the event of a
tie, we go to lowest percentage of weight lost. And that would be Alex.
Joe: ALEX
Danni: ALEX
That's two. That's enough.
Meanwhile, next week is MAKEOVER WEEK.
And no one could be happier than Danni. And even better than that,
you're going HOME to reveal the new you to the people you love the most.
EPILOGUE: Alex started this journey at
240. Today, she's at 170. Since being home, she's gone far and beyond
the call of duty pushing herself to the limit. She's not letting anyone
judge her and she's not judging herself. And now, her mom and her are
the exact same size. And holy cow, is it a nice size. She hopes to be
down to 140 by the finale, which is now, by the way, three weeks...
She's also planning to take the LSAT. All the luck in the world for
that.
