We're halfway through the competition, with
one teammate shouldering the responsibility for the others. Good news
for Danni and the Red Team, but the Blues voted out their first
member... David. Gina, the biggest whiner, turned out to be the biggest
loser. But as the competition moves to singles and the yellow line is
put back in play, it's anyone's ballgame.
As we begin the next phase of
the competition...
RED
Jackson: 279
Francelina: 217
Joe: 291
WHITE
Danni: 207
BLUE:
Gina: 193
Alex: 204
Michael: 363
Jeff: 323
Ali's back to deliver the news... and the
new jerseys for the tea... sorry, individuals. Good luck... Game is on.
Jeff has made it clear that he's never voting for his buddy Michael.
The next day begins with...
TEMPTATION #1
Chocolates, cupcakes, and other such
Valentine's sweets are in front of the players. Americans buy more than
58 million pounds of chocolate. Here are a few right now. You'll have 10
minutes to eat as many calories as you can. The winner gets a two-pound
advantage on the scale... and another to someone else. We're spreading
the love today. So do you continue your path toward the weight, or do
you take the easy way out?
Wait, there's one more twist. You'll be
blind testing in the dark. It's The Taste and Total Blackout all wrapped
up in one.
Francelina starts up, as does Alex.
Michael decides to take a stand by sitting down. Meanwhile, Danni sneaks
a workout in. Jeff eats a little bit... which turns into a little
more.... Gina... would NEVER eat any of this stuff because she's
diabetic. She's playing the game for REAL.
In the end, three people ate, five
didn't. Francelina and Alex are the toppers. The magic number of 1158
belongs to... FRANCELINA. She will have a two-pound advantage. The
cherry on top of the half-brownie that Alex ate... was the half-brownie
she didn't.
But who will Francelina give another
advantage to? She decides... Alex. She respects her risk. So as much as
everyone loves everyone else, it's game on, suckas.
I'm going to get on my soapbox for a
moment..... If you succumbed to that temptation for a measly 2 pounds...
then you are HERE. FOR. THE. WRONG. REASONS. Soapbox moment over.
FOLLOW UP TIME! Remember Lisa? Left week
6? Now, she's 79 pounds lighter. And 79 percent sexier.
Now... let's get a moment in for the
kids. Jill challenges Sunny to take a Bollywood dancing class. Awesome.
Bob challenges Biingo to focus on his baseball tryout as soon as the
boot comes off. Dolvett challenges Lindsay to try out for her
cheerleading squad. For an honorary spot.
NOW... Let's talk to the grown-ups. Time
for the trainers to have a come-to-Jesus meeting about the Temptation.
After that, let's choose up sides...
DOLVETT: Michael, Gina
JILLIAN: Francelina, Alex, Jeff
BOB: Jackson, Danni, Joe
Which sucks for Jillian, because Danni
was her pet project. But that's in the past. Time to turn it up ANOTHER
notch. Developments? Michael loses his confidence, and Dolvett needs to
scare it back into him.... Jillian makes Francie and Alex PAY for those
calories in the Temptation. In sweat... Jillian is ready to lay it into
Jeff, and Jeff is ready to totally not quit. "Stop thinking, stop
talking, and just do it." It's one of those break through your mind
block times. Turns out he's making a huge burden... Jillian's voice.
Seriously? Honestly? And it's apparently getting to her. So she's going
to check in afterwards.
He learns that it's good to shut feelings
off once in a while, a lesson he learned when his dad died. Those
feelings have been trapped inside for eight years. He lost his father to
lung cancer. What made it worse was that Jeff was charged with "taking
care of everything". No one is prepared at 17 to go through what Jeff
has had to go through. But for his own good, he has to let the shame and
the guilt go in order to move forward.
Let's go to the kids for a moment, as
Sunny starts dancing, Lindsay starts cheering, and Biingo starts...
getting depressed over this stupid boot. Will today be the day? Each of
the kids had their own stumbling blocks and their own demons, but they
ultimately pull through. Good news for Biingo, because the boot is now
OFF and he's now cleared to start training.
Back to the Honda Center, home of Joe Van
Ginkel's Anaheim Ducks.
CHALLENGE #8: Racing Lights
The winner of this challenge gets to
bring a family member or other loved one to the Ranch for 24 hours. And,
because we're spreading the love this week, another person will get a
visit as well.
You'll have to race toward a spotlight.
Each round will be an elimination round, until there are three
remaining. The first to the final light wins.
Round 1: Gina eliminated
Round 2: Jackson eliminated
Round 3: Michael eliminated
Round 4: Alex eliminated
FINAL ROUND: DANNI WINS! She decides to share her prize with... Gina...
AND give away HER 24 hours to Michael.
We see how Gina makes out with Chad (her
husband) first. She is a completely different person from when she
started, according to him. She's finally able to wear her wedding band
again, which is a big step up. Meanwhile, Michael looks noticeably
healthier to Chavelle (Michael's wife) and his baby boy... and his
trainer Dolvett. Michael heard some shocking words... she was scared for
his life. That puts things in perspective. He is here for his family. In
the end, Dolvett wants Chavelle to take this journey with him. For
more on their dates, hit up the site.
CHALLENGE AMERICA: season 11 winner
Olivia has joined the challenge with her husband Ben, where they go on
healthy dates including trapezing. They're challenging America to think
outside the box of chocolates and take a healthy date this Valentine's
Day. If anyone wants any ideas, I am available. Wink wink, nod nod...
Hey, Dolvett! Tell America what time it
is!
"LAST! CHANCE! WORKOUT!"
And let's just rub a little salt on that
wound you call a two-pound advantage, Francie and Alex. Michael gets a
little extra push from his family being on the ranch. Will that
translate to the scale, though? Alex is kicking her own butt about a
lost jump rope. Bob is not going to take that for one second. Gina's not
feeling the push from her husband. She's feeling her age and her size.
It's time for her to get to work. She's nervous and worried every week,
and every week she's also lost the most. She has nothing to worry about
except the fortune she creates. It's time for her to get back on the
horse and ride.
WEIGH-IN #7
The only thing that matters now... that
Yellow Line.
Jackson: 266 (-13) - FINALLY! (4.66%))
Gina: 184 (-9): (4.66%)
Joe: 279 (-12) - (4.12%)
Alex (-2): 198 (-6) - Welcome to Wonderland (3.92%)
Jeff: 312 (-11) - (3.41%)
Danni: 201 (-6) - (2.90%)
Francelina
(-2): 213 (-4) - Some advantage. (2.76%)
Michael: 353 (-10) - (2.75%)
And first thing out of Gina's mouth: "We need to vote for Mike."
Playing. The game. HARD.
Time for the vote. The vote to eliminate
is three.
Danni - MICHAEL
Alex - FRANCELINA
Gina - MICHAEL
Jeff - MICHAEL
EPILOGUE: Michael has lost over 120
pounds! And his wife? And his stepdad? They're in on the turnaround as
well. They've decided to have a covenant ceremony to celebrate. He was
worried that he was going to die young. Today, he's looking forward to a
new beginning. In fact, Michael & his wife plan to give "Little Mike" a
sibling.
