Which of the following is a palindrome?
a) Vroom
b) Jumbo shrimp
c) Race car

Garry said "vroom", which was incorrect. The correct answer was C. We were about to see what Sierra said when time was called.

But now we have all the time in the world. For $100,000, Sierra said...

C! SAVED!

4th Grade Grammar $175,000   COPY
What word is the preposition in the following sentence?
"Man has walked on the moon."

Garry goes with "on." Sierra... said the same thing. Could've used the copy. Didn't. Didn't have to. He's right on.

Last up to help is... SYLVIA! Remember, the Mystery Desk is still in play.

5th Grade US History $300,000   COPY
As a result of the Missouri Compromise, what state was allowed to enter the union on March 15, 1820, to balance the admission of Missouri?

Garry has no idea. He thinks Sylvia has even less of an idea. So it's time to drop out.

DROP OUT - $175,000

Sylvia went with Minnesota. And... Garry had the right idea, dropping out like that. It was "Maine".

Mystery Desk continues with a 36-year-old 5th grade teacher who attended Coldwater Elementary (and now teaches there), DALIENE INGRAM. And in the 5th graders' mystery desk is... her daughter Alexa, a 5th grader herself! She quickly pops out of the desk to join Daliene on stage. The board...

TRUE or FALSE?
A beat with no sound is called a rest.

Daliene has no idea, so she COPIES. The correct answer... TRUE. Daliene would've said false. So there's one hurdle negotiated.

Olivia said... TRUE!

Now to help with the milestone is Nathan... And she chooses his favorite to lock in the cash.

4th Grade Math $25,000     SAVE
If three consecutive even numbers add up to 18, what's the value of the smallest of those numbers?

Daliene thinks about the question and comes up with the numbers as 4, 6, and 8. Four gives her $25,000!

TRUE or FALSE?
In humans, the epidermis is located directly underneath the dermis.

Daliene takes the freeball on TRUE... And that's... not right. Nathan has to have TRUE in order to continue. Nathan said... TRUE!

The bad news... it's Daliene to the million...
