This Is The Man Test
October 22

Last time, the storm arrived in Samoa, with both tribes struggling for cover. Even so, Galu has plenty of reasons to celebrate, as they win both challenges and force the Foa Foa to send Ashley packing. Now 14 remain...

Day 15: I'm really cold...

The tribe remains under the canopy to protect themselves from the elements. Jaison really wishes he had the heart ring from Captain Planet right about now, because he needs some heart. He and Russell have a heart-to-heart in the warm water.

And Jaison breaks into hysterics.

Obligatory turtle footage...

Over at Galu, Russell S. does some fishing while the rest of the tribe huddles under a tree. Spirits are down. They could have all been alleviated had Russell gotten the tarp instead of the blankets.

Meanwhile, Russell continues working on the fire. It's awesome for Brett to see him, but no one expect you to do that. It may have been a little too unnecessary. Russell says that sometimes you may need to make a few deposits for when you need some withdrawals later.

Back on Foa Foa, Russell collects more rain water while the rest of the tribe huddles. Mick decides to hang out under the tree where Russell found the idol some while back. Russell says that they're losing challenges because they're ladies. "If you didn't throw up after every freaking challenge, you didn't do your job." They have to do something to rally themselves together, but they're too busy sucking their thumbs.

The rainbow finally comes out to play on Galu, where the tribe arises out of their respective holes. No more rain. It's a good sign to see a rainbow. That's going to lift a spirit or two.

That's good, because it's time for...

R-CHALLENGE: Labyrinths (for pizza; Monica, Kelly, Shambo, and Dave sit out)

One person will be inside of a ball guiding four others who are blindfolded to a table maze. Then they will guide them through to get a ball into a hole. First tribe to do that wins.

No matter what the outcome, BOTH tribes will go to Tribal Council tonight.

In the balls: Liz and Laura.

Galu takes the early lead, but Foa Foa rounds a corner and goes into the lead. This is a neck-and-neck race. Foa Foa is the first tribe to the tables... She starts to navigate the table maze. Galu is soon after and perfect into the position... Foa Foa maintains their lead into the table maze when... Russell S. falls over the table. Challenge is stopped. Medical is summoned... and Russell falls over again.

His blood pressure is very low, even lower than Borassi's earlier in the series. He would probably black out again. Probst makes the call: the challenge is over... No winner. Both tribes will go to Tribal, and if Russell is able to continue, he will be waiting there.

And once again, the rain comes back to Camp Galu. And John doesn't think he's coming back. They're still playing the game, but they do so while thinking about Russell.

Back at the Challenge site, Russell tries to sit up... and he goes down again. With his heart dropping, the decision is made to pull Russell out of the game, much to his disappointment.

The sun sets on Foa Foa, and the tribe starts to think about who the next victim will be. Liz and Natalie think that it'll be one of them. Their fate rests in the hands of three guys.

... and one of them wants Liz gone. That being Russell. Liz lobbies with the other two guys to try and curry their favor.

Jaison thinks that this win would've been the ultimate revenge. Unfortunately it was taken away from something completely outside of their control.

Over on Galu, Monica thinks that Shambo will be gunning for her. Everyone decides that Shambo has to go tonight, due to her not really gelling with the tribe. Shambo asks the tribe not to vote her out tonight, due to her being a good competitor. Monica's number one reason for voting out Shambo? She voted for her the last time.

As for the men, the guys say that they'd be nowhere without Shambo. She does not have the power that Monica has. Monica & Laura have a relationship that could be dangerous later on. Monica doesn't help win challenges. This is not a bad plan here. So the men will vote for Monica.

Shambo campaigns for her favor. The four guys are pretty good at keeping things on a need-to-know basis. John tells Shambo to "stay consistent". Who you voted for earlier, vote for again.

Night 15: Tribal...

Everyone is on the block at the same time.

Russell has been pulled out of the game. He was med-evaced due to his deteriorating condition. Probst called it one of the scariest things he's ever seen on this show. The good news is that he is in good hands and steadily improving.

Dave thinks that Galu has the numbers, while Russell H thinks that the Foa Foa can come back and even things up. Dave thinks of the challenge, as it was, as a moral victory.

As a consequence of the unforeseen, unprecedented events in this round, NO ONE is being voted out tonight. And once again, the rain falls.

Can Galu use this as a spur to keep Russell's spirit alive, or can Foa Foa turn things around? One thing is certain: Galu must return to camp and vote on a new leader.
