Hungry
for a Win
October 8
Galu has been on a roll, with the tribe
relaxing and Shambo doing the hard work. Over at Foa Foa, Russell
continued his wicked ways. And Ben self-destructed in this round,
leaving the tribe no choice but to vote him off. Now 16 remain...
Night 8: He gave me no other choice.
Jaison is starting to believe that coming
to Survivor was the worst mistake of his life.
Day 9: It's game man...
Russell notes that Jaison was very upset
with Ben, thinking that if Ben stayed, then Jaison would've quit the
game. He's still willing to get rid of Jaison should the need arise,
mind you.
Over on Galu, Shambo returns from a round
of huge appreciation to... well, this. She feels ten times closer to Foa
Foa than she does to Galu. She already has a following. If she can make
it to the merge, she already has the votes.
Erik tells Shambo that the clue to the
Immunity Idol could possibly apply not only to Foa Foa beach, but to
Galu's as well. They go over the clues one more time... That can
do nothing but help.
Treemail!
"The chief must choose two,
to join him on a quest,
To go on a mission
Which could turn out for the best.
When your Chief comes home,
The tribe might have more to eat,
But you won't know why
Until the mission is complete."
Mick chooses Russell and Natalie. Russell
chooses Shambo and Dave for Galu for...
...
... nothing, really.
There's a reward of chickens, so this
must be...
R-CHALLENGE: The Hostless Challenge (for
chickens)
In a chest are three colored balls for
each player and a flag. The flag goes in the middle. The object is to
get your tribe's balls closest to the flag. It's bocce ball horseshoes.
The closest to the flag wins.
Winners... on the last ball hail Mary...
the Galu!
Back at camp, Erik goes in search of an
idol... which may or may not be in the bark of a tree. That doesn't go
without noticing. But at least Erik has the Idol. He's not going
to tell anyone that he has it.
Meanwhile, Russell and the crew bring
home the... chicken. Meet Daisy & Millie. They have to eat and drink all
the time. In return, they'll lay eggs. Because that's what hens do.
The rain continues to fall on Foa Foa.
Jaison's tired and hungry... for both food and a win. Russell doesn't
know if Jaison, his current partner, can survive the rest of the game,
so he's exploring perhaps Natalie, who calls him her "wingman". She
wants others to think that she's not as good of a player as she would
like to believe that she is. She knows that Russell's been rubbing folks
the wrong way.
Day 10: What a good chicken.
And we have our first egg at Galu.... we
also have our first escaped chicken. Shambo and Erik give chase... and
it would be the utmost example of physical comedy ever on Survivor. The
story ends with a chicken stuck in a tree and no one caring.
Day 11: Watching you is making me sleepy...
Kelly's getting sick of watching Yasmin
do nothing. The tribe is working so well because of the team working
together to bring themselves to the merge with the numbers advantage.
Meanwhile, Yasmin is in this for herself.
I-CHALLENGE: Stack Job (Shambo, Laura, Dave,
and Russell sit out for Galu)
Tribes will race across a netrun carrying
blocks that will have to be stacked. Once they are stacked, you will
have to go through a rope bridge, where you will have to stack a higher
pillar of blocks. The team with both pillars stacked wins.
Galu is the first to finish the first
stack, but it's close all the way through. Foa Foa makes up a lot of
time. Can they translate it into a win? Doesn't look like it, as Galu
heads to stack first. And Kelly loses two blocks for Galu. This might be
the deal breaker... FOA FOA WINS!
Back at Tribal, the Galu try to assess
the loss. Russell thinks Monica screwed the challenge. Also, Shambo
managed to lose a chicken, while Yasmin has done nothing. Yasmin tells
Shambo that the tribe preys on people doing something wrong. She's not
looking down on anyone, but Monica didn't help anyone win the
challenge...
Kelly thinks that it's the safer bet to
vote for Yasmin. Erik says that she's stronger than Monica in
challenges. They theoretically could go against the leader, but no one
wants to be on Russell's bad side. Erik goes with Russell with this
information. Russell doesn't agree with the groupthink, saying that
Monica is a liability. "They have to listen to me, or there's gonna be
some serious ass-kicking."
Night 11: Tribal...
Shambo says that everyone's a little on
edge. They don't want to be there. Brett says that there are people who
are pulling their own weight. Yasmin defends herself, saying that she
may not belong in the jungle, but she stepped it up. Russell says that
challenges are the base. Get those done, and the rest will fall into
place. Monica struggled. She thinks she did a great job in the
challenge. Dave thinks ultimately that what's good for the tribe is good
for him.
Monica: "YAZEE" - "I don't think you have
carried your weight around camp, despite what you say."
Yasmin: MONICA
Laura: YAZ
Shambo: MONICA
The rest of the votes fall... to YASMIN.
By a vote of 8 to 2... THE TRIBE HAS SPOKEN.
