"come on, play that song, ____ ___ ___ __ _____"

With so many games over the years like pulling white sticks to win monthly paychecks, guessing correct answers to pick dancers for cash, or figuring out where the right range of people are to a survey question, "Don't Forget The Lyrics" is the one game people love to "play it all night long." Last time, Jamie Babbitt rocked to $100,000, while Susan Woods has $25,000 worth of ketchup. We're catching on as the show is about to begin.

From the westside, Shamari Berkley is 11 years old and wants to be an entertainer. But for our special youngsters edition, any money, win or lose will to go him. Let's look at our 9 categories:

ROCK                         DISCO
POP                           IN  THE MOVIES
HAPPY HOLIDAYS      SPORTS ANTHEMS
MICHAEL JACKSON       PARTY SONGS
                        1980'S

For $2500, he eliminated "Happy Holidays" as his first choice, and his next choice is.....Michael Jackson, and these 2 songs by the King of Pop....

  • ABC

  • Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'

He gets ABC. Sinple as that. Let's go!

Michael: A buh-buh buh buh-buh
J5: A buh-buh buh buh-buh
Michael: You went to school to learn, girl
Things you never, never knew before...
Jermaine: Like I before E except after C...
Michael: And why 2 plus 2 makes four
Now now now, I'm gonna teach you...
J5: Teach you, teach you
Michael: All about love, dear...
J5: All about love
Jermaine: Sit yourself down, take a seat
All you gotta do is repeat after me.

J5: ABC
Michael: Easy as...AS WHAT?

Shamari's answer: one two three. Going for the pinfall.....YES! His next one: In the Movies. Catch a flick with these:

  • Spider-Man-The Ramones

  • Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah

He gets the Disney one. Let's zip it!

Zip a dee doo-dah, zip a dee ay
My, oh my, what...WHAT?....WHAT!!!????

Shamari's answer: A wonderful day. He locks it in....WONDERFUL! Correct. Next one: Disco, and these 2....

  • Celebration-Kool & The Gang

  • Car Wash-Rose Royce

He gets Celebration. We're off!

Yahoo! This is your celebration
Yahoo! This is your celebration
Celebrate good times, come on! (Let's celebrate)
Celebrate good times, come on! (Let's celebrate)
There's a party goin' on right here
A celebration to last throughout the years
So bring your good times, and your laughter too
We gonna celebrate your party with you
Come on now
Celebration
Let's all celebrate and have...HAVE WHAT?

Shamari's answer: a good time. He locks it in, it's up and it's GOOD! $25,000! His next move: Party songs, and they are:

  • Hokey Pokey-Ray Anthony

  • Sugar, Sugar-The Archies

He gets the Hokey Pokey. Let's dance!

Put your left foot in,
Your left foot out,
Your left foot in,
And shake it all about.
You do the hokey pokey...STOP!

Shamari's answer: And you turn yourself around. He locks it in...and everyone dances at the do-over, and it's...RIGHT! His next one: Rock. Try these:

  • Yakety Yak-The Coasters

  • You Are So beautiful-Joe Cocker

He gets "You Are So Beautiful." So, let's go!

You are so beautiful to me
You are so beautiful...ok, FREEZE!

Shamari's answer: You are so beautiful to....That's actually the first line, but he gets the 3 lines. And they are:

A. To me don't you know
B. To me Can't you see
C. To me Yes it's true

And it's true he locks it in with B, and that's....CORRECT! What's next for this kid? Pop, and these 2 songs...

  • I Want It That Way-Backstreet Boys

  • Summer Nights-John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John

He gets "I Want it that Way." Here we go.

Yeah
You are my fire
The one desire
Believe when I say
I want it that way
But we are two worlds apart
Can't reach to your heart
When you say
That I want it that way
Tell me why...FREEZE IT!

And he blanks out. It's hard for people under 18 to know it, but he calls out Can'Dise with..."Ain't nothin' but a heartache." Locking it in.....SCORE! His next one: Sports Anthems. All right, something I'm familiar with. What do we got today?

  • Take Me Out to the Ballgame

  • We Are the Champions-Queen

He gets Take me out to the Ball game. Play ball!

Take me out to the ball game,
Take me out with the crowd.
Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack,
I don't care if I never get back,
Let me root, root, root for the home team, STOP IT!

Shamari's answer: If they don't win it's a shame. But win or lose, he's going home with money. He locks it in....HOMERUN! It's down to the 1980's and these 2:

  • I Just Called to Say I Love You-Stevie Wonder

  • Greatest Love of All-Whitney Houston

He gets Greatest Love of all. Just one more before we head to the million dollar song. Let's go!

I believe the children are our are future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be
I decided long ago, never to walk in anyone's shadows
If I fail, if I succeed..STOP! What's the answer:

Shamari's answer: I'm not gonna let anyone doubt me. But he uses his 2 words backup for help. "live" and "Believe" are 2, but he's not sure, so he bails out at $350,000. What's the real answer? It is: At least I'll live as I believe.

To quote a Cupid song, "It don't matter if you're young or you're old," you got to go by this message: it's not what you know about it, it's what you sing about it.
