"We are the Bears, the shufflin' crew, shufflin' on down, _____ ____ __ ___ ____..."

Everything you know on "Don't Forget The Lyrics" is good, and for all this, "we're doing it for you." Last time, Dottie Harris reached the half a million mark. No contestant has ever done that. Maybe someone else will join her, and here we go with the show.

Michael Oliver from Palmdale, CA. is up first. He's a 49ers fan, and he wants to see gold in a million. The rush begins with the categories:

ROCK            1980's

POP              LOVE SONGS

R&B              DRIVING SONGS

LEGENDS     DISCO

Enough talk, let's go, first one: Love songs. They are:

  • When a Man Loves a Woman-Percy Sledge

  • Paradise by the Dashboard Light-Meatloaf

He gets the Percy Sledge song. Let's go!

When a man loves a woman
Can't keep his mind on nothin' else
He'd trade the world
For a good thing he's found
If she is bad, he can't see it
She can...WHAT?

Michael's answer: do no wrong. And he locks it in...it's not wrong....it's RIGHT! His next move: 1980's. Here come these:

  • Bette Davis Eyes-Kim Carnes

  • Electric Avenue-Eddy Grant

He gets Bette Davis Eyes. Yes, the song. Here we go.

Her hair is Harlow gold, her lips sweet surprise
Her hands are never cold, she's got Bette Davis eyes

She'll turn the music on you, you won't have to think twice
She's pure as New York snow, she got Bette Davis eyes

And she'll tease you, she'll unease you
All the better just...WHAT?

Michael's answer: To please you. He locks it in.....let it be correct, please.....YES! His next plan: Driving Songs. Let's go behind the wheel with these:

  • Me & Bobby McGee-Janis Joplin

  • Ramblin' Man-The Allman Bros.

He gets Ramblin' Man. Let's drive, y'all!

[Chorus]
Lord, I was born a ramblin' man,
Tryin' to make a livin' and doin' the best I can.
And when it's time for leavin',
I hope you'll understand,
That I was born a ramblin' man.

Well my father was a...WAS A WHAT?

Michael's answer: Gamblin somethin' man. Uh huh, and something's not right. He uses his 3 lines backup for help. Here they come:

A-grifter down in Mobile

B-Hustler down in Memphis

C-Gambler down in Georgia

Why B? I'm from there. But he locks it in with C.....takes a gamble....YES! Now the next one: R&B. They are:

  • Drift Away-Dobie Gray

  • Let's Get It On-Marvin Gaye

He gets Let's get it on, and who better than to backup than DWTS alum Jerry Rice. Now we're ready.

I've been really trying now baby
Trying to hold back this feeling for so long
And if you feel like I feel
Come on

Let's get it on
Let's get it on
Let's get it on
Let's get it on

We're all sensitive people
With so...SO WHAT?

Michael's answer: much to give. He locks it in....It's GOOD! What's next? Pop. And they are:

  • Cold Hearted-Paula Abdul

  • Delta Dawn-Helen Reddy

He gets Delta Dawn. Bring it!

Delta Dawn, what's that flower you have on?
Could it be a faded rose from days gone by?
And did I hear you say he was a-meetin' you here today
To take you to his mansion in the sky-eye?

She's forty-one and her daddy still calls 'er "baby"
All the folks 'round Brownsville say she's crazy
'cause she walks downtown with her suitcase in her hand...STOP!

Michael's answer: she walks around the house singing....nothing. But he calls out Angie with: Lookin' for a mysterious dark-haired man. But he locks it in. Is that what we're looking for?.............YES! The next one is: Rock. Rock out with these:

  • Cult of Personality-Living Coulour

  • You Really Got Me-The Kinks

He gets Cult of Personality. And we're off!

Look into my eyes, what do you see?
Cult of Personality
I know your anger, I know your dreams
I've been everything you want to be
I'm the Cult of Personality
Like Mussolini and Kennedy
I'm the Cult of Personality
Cult of Personality
Cult of Personality

Neon lights, A Nobel Price
The mirror speaks, the reflection lies
You don't have to follow me....STOP! go ahead, Mike.

Michael's answer: Only you can set me free. And he locks it in, but we got a free ride to dissect it. Only you....is only RIGHT! let's see if the last 4 are good. Can...set....me....free............CORRECT! And the next one is: Legends. And it's a toss-up between these 2:

  • I Got You-James Brown

  • Always on My Mind-Willie nelson

He gets Always on My Mind. Let's go.

Maybe I didn't love you
Quite as often as I could have
And maybe I didn't treat you
Quite as good as I should have

If I made you feel second best
Girl I'm sorry I was blind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind

And maybe I didn't hold you
All those lonely, lonely times
And I guess I never told you...STOP!

Michael's answer: I just never took the time. But he found the time to bailout. So good job for the 49ers fan and the Jerry Rice jersey at $100,000. Time now for the answer: I'm so happy that you're mine. But we're in a happy mood, let's keep this up with our next player. William Roshaw is from Milwaukee and he's a Packers fan with a cheering section. He's ready for that cheddar. Let's get to the topics, shall we?

ROCK                BREAK-UP SONGS

POP                  COUNTRY

R&B                  CLASSICS

DIVAS               ELTON JOHN

            1960'S

His first target: Country. They are:

  • Fooled Around & Fell in Love-Elvin Bishop

  • Breathe-Faith Hill

He gets Breathe. Okay, inhale, now exhale.

I can feel the magic floating in the air
Being with you gets me that way
I watch the sunlight dance across your face
And i've never been this swept away
All my thoughts just seem to settle on the breeze
When i'm lying wrapped up in your arms
The whole world just fades away
The only thing I hear
Is the beating of your heart

Cause I can feel you breathe
It's....it's....IT'S WHAT?

William's answer: watching over me. But did the judges watch it as a correct answer, he locks it in........WRONG! William, already on the first song, what were you thinking? here's the answer: washing over me. Well, it all came out of the wash quickly, but we're all out of the laundromat to teach a lesson to a Packers fan that it's not what you know about it, it's what you sing about it. Right, William?
