Semifinals: Rice/Humphreys/Decker
February 23
Fifteen teachers have competed at Sony
for the title of 2012 Teacher's Champion and a guaranteed shot at a
quarter-million in the next Tournament of Champions. Of them, nine
semifinalists - five automatic qualifiers and four wild cards - have
emerged. Now the race begins to the finals, and with a chance $100,000
on the line for three of the nation's finest educators, there's only one
rule in this semifinal classroom... WIN... OR GO HOME.
This is week 2 of a standard Jeopardy!
tournament format.
Second place is guaranteed $50,000, while third will get $25,000. The
players who got this far will receive at least $10,000 and a copy of
Classroom Jeopardy! for participation. As
always, any and all winning accrued depends on how far up the ladder a
player goes.
Justin Hofstetter is in the first seat on

Not a runaway but a heck of
a come-from-behind for Brooks. Going to J-Archive.com...
- Nate wins if... he bets
EVERYTHING AND is the only one correct AND Brooks bets SOMETHING.
- Leslie wins if... she bets at least $7901 and forces Brooks to play.
- Brooks wins if... he bets $3401 and is correct.

Finalist:
Brooks Humphreys
Brooks is living proof that
oftentimes on Jeopardy! it's not how you start, but how you finish. A
category run that included a Daily Double, and this game was his. Will
he be that lucky in the final? We'll see...
... but first, Brooks and
Justin need an opponent.
