4.16: Christmas Show III Ashley Otte had a happy Thanksgiving with $260,000. But now it's all about the fat man in the Red Suit. That's right, a holiday tradition in the game show world continues with Deal or No Deal's Christmas show! First up tonight... an entire family, THE CALHOUN FAMILY. They are a family of 34, but only three are playing: James the father and two of his kids, Gina and Joshua. The house is packed for the holidays, and they want to expand the house with the money that they win tonight. Gina drew first, so she'll start the game with the choice of gift. She chooses #13.
Starting with six... 17 (Tiffany) - $10,000 Now what does Blitzen have to do with anything? Well, in addition to the game, we're playing Reindeer Games. If you reveal all nine of Santa's pack before you take a deal, you'll also win another $25,000. 3 (Lisa G.) - $500,000 Now one person in this room wants to be a holiday villain... the Scrooge... the Grinch... The Banker... First offer...
... or five more presents... $39,000 is not a Merry Christmas. NO DEAL! Christmas to them is the whole family together. Speaking of which, here's James with his five. 20 (Alike) - $25,000 At least they didn't take the million away. Howie fixes the phone in time to take the next offer.
His wife is not ready to give in yet. NO DEAL. TRIVIA from Hayley: The highest deal taken was for $701,000. Kimberly Chastang from Season 2 Premiere Week with a $4 million board. Next up with four is Joshua. 10 (Anya) - $1... and PRANCER! The banker hits Joshua hard.
Realistically... it's not what they wanted. NO DEAL! Gina's back with three. 15 (Brooke) - $300,000 That was a rough round. Banker bottoms out with this.
Simply put... NO DEAL. James is back to turn it around. 25 (Hayley) - $400 James does indeed turn it around, and we have an offer... to indulge a little present to the banker from Howie. For an entire season of dumping things on Howie, he's returning the favor... with a little snow. Now the offer.
Josh is going to have to open another present if James says NO DEAL. With a one-in-three shot at six figures... that's what he does. 6 (Megan) - $200 and DONNER! Big offer coming.
That's the highest offer to date, but they have a 40% chance of a good amount. What do they do? NO DEAL! Josh says to hit the button... He does. DEAL for $107,000! That's a Merry Christmas... but was it a good deal? Lindsay C... had the $400,000! Good deal!
So they couldn't have won the $25,000 side pot anyway. Next up, MATT ZEDWICK and his newlywed... and his trusty elves. The woman is Kristin. Just got married a few days ago. They're hoping for a big load, but it's all on Matt today. He's a student from Corvallis, OR, where he's a student and a national guardsman. He is also a recipient of the Silver Star for his heroism while in Iraq. We reset the gifts and begin again with gift #6.
