Season
Finale Part 2 (or "Pay No Attention to What's Behind the
Curtain")
August 6
Last night had to be magical. Last night had to be
classic. Last night was just the first phase in the
finale, and tonight, we figure out who the winner is in
our final episode before we break for September.
We start off with a dance to "Brand New Day" accompanied
by clips from this past season. We also get a judge
sandwich, starting things off with Adam Shankman picking
Phillip & Jeanine's hip-hop routine. Nigel went up next
and he picks the tango that belongs to Jeanette &
Brandon.
Debbie Allen gets to pick a routine, and it's a waltz
done by Asuka & Vittolo. The always perky Mary Murphy
chooses Jason & Jeanine's routine done by Louis Van
Amstel. Mia comes up and picks a samba done by Kayla &
Max.
The final 4 get surprised to see "Fame" as an early
premiere with Debbie Allen in tow. Good thing it's not
2003 anymore.
Debbie later introduces a top 16 routine done by Dmitry
Chaplin, a show alum and TabNap for the help. She does a
routine solo done by Sonya Tayeh. When I say Sonya, I
see her with a rock star look.
Lil' C chose a Bollywood routine done by Caitlyn &
Jason. But we got a 4th placer
here........................it
is..................................................Kayla.
1 down, 3 to go.
With the infamous Butt dance out of the way, Mary gets
Brandon & Jeanine's paso doble from yesterday. Evan gets
back on stage and he is now
in...........................3rd place. The bronze is
his, but one will get the gold.
Another routine coming, this time, it's Kayla & Kupono
doing a contemporary piece. The Rage Boys Crew perform
for us, and one more routine done by Melissa & Ade in
honor of a friend who has brest cancer. We get a top 8
routine and we get the results, but before all that,
let's walk through the list of winners:
2005: Nick Lazzarini
2006: Benji Schwimmer
2007: Sabra Johnson
2008: Twitch
2009: The winner
is............................................................Jeanine
Mason.
Congratulations to her for being the 2nd woman to win
the whole shebang. But we gotta rest for a few weeks, so
we'll see you next month for the newest season of So you
Think You Can Dance. Pierre Kelly saying goodnight!
