Round of 10 (or "The
All-Fun House")
July 15
When the top 10 rose to the top, this was the pinnacle
of giving out routines. Now they're ready to see who'll
prevail in the final weeks of the summer's best show.
It's time to find out once and for all who is the better
dancer.
Nigel & Mary, the awesome 2 add Debbie Allen to the
group, and we begin with a girls' group dance. The
routine is Bollywood and the "Bollywood Bombshells"
dance with masks on the back of their heads. Is this
Halloween? But they get better when the music gets
faster.
Kayla got Evan as her partner and gets prepared for a
Tony & Meredith Viennese Waltz to "Kiss From a Rose" by
Seal. Kayla took control of it with a few kicks and
lifts.
What Mary said: Evan lacked power.
What I said: Kayla took the whole package for it.
Brandon did a contemporary solo to "In Your Eyes," and
we see Janette & Ade doing a hip-hop routine to "Love
Sex Magic" by Ciara. In it, it was all about hypnosis,
until Ade snaps Janette out at the end.
What Debbie said: The routine wore her out.
What I said: Was it about the fatigue from the
practicing?
We stay awake with a couple of solos. First, Randi doing
a contemporary solo to "Dream" by Priscilla Ahn, and
after that, Kupono doing a hip-hop solo.
Jeanine will now dance with Jason. Contemporary is the
routine and teaching them is Travis Wall from season 2.
The song is "If It Kills Me" by Jason Mraz and in it,
they pass a heart back & forth....while getting chained.
Still not noticed?
What Nigel said: It was better by the 2 people who
danced it.
What I said: This was awesome!
Here's the solo stuff for you. Melissa does ballet to
"Gabriel" by Lamb....not the rock group Lamb of God,
Evan decides to go Broadway to "Zing! Went my Heart
Strings" by Rufus Wainwirght, and Kayla does
contemporary to "Rock Your Soul" by Elisa. Now how's
that?
Randi & Kupono do a paso doble done by Tony & Melanie.
If you look at Randi, she wearing a dark wig.
What Mary said: They're falling below the standard.
What I said: Uh, why did they make any mistakes?
More solos for you. Here's a shirtless Ade doing
"Unchained Melody," Jeanine does a contemporary to "Violento"
by Bailongo and Jason rounds it out doing a Broadway to
"Long Train Home" by Muddy Watters.
Our final routine goes to Melissa & Brandon doing a Tyce
Diorio Broadway routine to "Aquarius" by Hair. The took
the 60's vibe to a whole new level.
What Nigel said: It brought back a lot of memories for
me.
What I said: Groovy!
What Earthworm Jim Said: Groovy!
Janette will close the curtain on this program with a
Latin solo to "This is Miami." It shows us why she's got
that fire.
Need an encore? We got one. Our top 5 guys will be doing
an African Dance and they all worked together. Now how's
this for an ending?
Well, I hope your 2 hours is as good
as....um......watching whatever else is on the channel.
Grab some food for tomorrow, because the results show
will be faster than a 99-cent bag of chips. We'll see ya
later!
