The Round of 20 (or "Come out of your shells, wherever you are....")
July 9
The real competition begins. The top 20. 2 will leave after this. You all know the drill by now, so let's get into it!

Misty Copeland will judge alongside Mary & Nigel and we begin with Tanisha & Rudy doing jazz to "You Need" by Bengsons. Both did the dance playing around office chairs. They even did a little racing around near the end.

What Nigel said: Tanisha was very clever.
What I said: It was a interesting thing to see it.

Next up, Valerie & Ricky doing contemporary to "Oh Darling" by Gossling. Under a purple light, it was very emotional from start to finish.

What Misty said: They're wonderful together.
What I said: It was pretty.

Moving right along, Bridget & Emilio doing hip-hop to "Work" by Iggy Azalea. Emilio looks at a funny picture and threw it away when Bridget arrived. She even did a few back flips for good measure. By the end, she left Emilio alone.

What Nigel said: It had great chemistry between the pair.
What I said: That was hard & nice.

Next is Jessica & Nick doing West Coast swing to "Respect" by Aretha Franklin. Jessica did a few solo spins and Nick held out to a couple of cartwheels and a lift by Jessica. He later did a quick leg over and both did arm work near the end.

What Mary said: It was so darn fast!
What I said: That was insane!

We have now Carly & Serge doing contemporary to "Latch" by Sam Smith. This time, the routine was under a yellow light and it was more passionate than ever.

What Misty said: Wow!
What I said: Excellent!

Emily & Teddy are ready to do hip-hop to "Don't" by Ed Sheeran. Both started out in the spotlights and Teddy slides into Emily's spotlight. Then the lights came up. Even a little breakdance helped.

What Nigel said: Teddy moved more than his eyebrows.
What I said: Teddy looked pretty good when he danced.

We have now Malene & Stanley doing Broadway to "I've Got Your Number" by Nancy Wilson. Malene becomes sexy as ever and Stanley became a pro at it. They had fun with rotary phone handles. However, nobody got tangled and tripped on it.

What Nigel said: It was very sixties.
What I said: It was stylish.

We got Jourdan & Marcquet doing pop jazz to Britney Spears. It all got started under a single spotlight, but the house lights were raised back up for it. Marcquet helped Jourdan do a flip over into a split and all this contortionist work converted into a table. They even did arm wrestling gesturing. By the end, they went under the table.

What Misty said: That was fun!
What I said: The house lights made it more interesting.

Brooklyn & Casey will now do an Argentine Tango. It was very passionate until a spotlight ended it all.

What Mary said: Brooklyn was this woman no longer a baby.
What I said: My, how she has grown up!

To end this mess, Jacque & Zack doing African jazz. They're in a painting and they're actually in bodypaint. Did Skin Wars on GSN come early? Anyways, It was very artistic. No pun intended.

What Nigel said: I love it when ballerinas as taken out of their technical box.
What I said: It was stunning!

And with that we slash 2 dancers and they are.....................................................Nick & malene. 18 remain. Which 2 will get the heave-ho next? Find out next week. Adios.
