Round
of 9: Beatles Anthology
March 21
Last night,
we gave rebirth to the British Invasion with Beatles
Night. But someone is about to get squished if the
judges do not use their save. Who? Read on.
Also on the program tonight,
Ne-Yo, Jessica Sanchez, and Casey Abrams.
ROLL THE JIMMY CLIP! Some of
the singers sang really well, some didn't. But the judges were
complimentary across the board! Congratulations, Jimmy, you're caught up
with the rest of us. The bottom line.
JIMMY LIKES: Kree, Amber,
Candice, Angie*, Janelle
JIMMY HATES: Burnell, Lazaro, Paul, Devin
*too dramatic, and there's
something wrong with that.
And again... WHY THE HELL IS
JIMMY NOT ON THE PANEL?! He's the closest thing to Gordon Pepper this
show has.
We're at the podium.
SERIOUSLIGHTSERIOUSMUSIC!
Amber... has footage of
going down a foggy staircase... with a straight face. Except for the
straight face.
It's the first group number
of the season, with the Idol Guys taking on "Got To Get You Into My
Life" (the EWF version). Okay... wait, Paul... After we have a
declaration of Dresden, TN of March 13 as Paul Jolley Day... But take
the bitter with the sweet. PAUL JOLLEY is in the Bottom 3.
Next up, honoring the theme
with "I Saw Her Standing There". it's ... 21st President of the
United States Chester A. Arthur... Actually, no, it's CASEY ABRAMS. He's
got an album out.
And now, the Idol Ladies
taking on "Here, There & Everywhere", which someone should've done last
night, just saying.
Back to business... SL, SM!
Devin... is ALSO in the
Bottom 3.
Lazaro... is SAFE.
Next on the stage, the 1st
runner up from last year's "American Idol". Singing "Tonight" with Ne-Yo,
it's JESSICA SANCHEZ! The album is called "Me, You & the Music", and
it's available for pre-order. Go pre-buy it.
Now for the rest of the
results... SL, SM...
SAFE:
Kree Harrison
Candice Glover
Angie Miller
Janelle Arthur
That leaves Amber Holcomb
and Burnell Taylor. BURNELL is safe.
BOTTOM 3:
Amber Holcomb
Paul Jolley
Devin Velez
Back to Serious Lights
time...
Singing for their life
tonight.... is.... PAUL JOLLEY. His survival song.. "Alone" by Heart.
The judges' decision... is
NOT unanimous. Paul will be going home tonight.
So we know for certain that
the hot guy with guitar WILL NOT WIN AMERICAN IDOL THIS YEAR. But who
will? The road to the finals continues next week with Motown. Until
then, remember to support local & independent music!
