In the world's ultimate talent search, where the eyes of a nation are upon the best undiscovered singers in the country, where the audience has the power to make or break you, and where a million-dollar recording contract is on the line, there is only one rule: If you can sing it, bring it.

The OKC... It's the final stop on the American Idol audition tour, and for some, the final chance at a golden ticket. Will we see the thunder in Oklahoma City?

OKLAHOMA CITY
AUDITIONS: Chesapeake Energy Arena
CALLBACKS: Devon Boathouse

Fun Fact: one of the greatest American Idols of all time CAME from Oklahoma. Of course, she now makes her home up in Ottawa. Hi, Senators fans, how ya doin'? Will we find the next Carrie Underwood here?

Our first contestant in "Native America" is Karl Skinner (26; Joplin, MO; pizza chef), who comes courtesy of the Idol Bus, which stopped a few blocks short of his house. He married his wife in March, and she "makes waking up worth it." Oh, and he's a mover. And a shaker. And a singer with "I Got You (I Feel Good)" by James Brown. Gingers may have soul, but not this one. He tries again with an original song on his guitar. The judges see him as more of a Ryan Seacrest. "Will you hurry up and vote?" Okay. NO. There. But I hear there's a job opening at ABC. Just saying.

.... wait, they said yes? Well then...

And it's anything but a beautiful morning so far.

Nate Tao (24; Reston, VA; ASL teacher) is here with his parents. They don't know how good he is... because both of his parents are deaf. But we'll know soon enough. He sings "For Once in My Life" by Stevie... he's a little flat. Just a TAD. But he sauces it up a bit. He sweeps the panel, and we'll see him next week.

Next up, Oscar (17; Vernon, TX; dog puppet), accompanied by her friend Halie Hilburn (27; Vernon, TX; horse trainer/ventriloquist), who's been throwing her voice around since she was 9. And medically... nothing is wrong with her. Seriously. She'll be dueting with Oscar on "Cowboy Sweetheart"... complete with yodeling. So we have a crazy song, a crazy singer, and she's got a puppet. She'll fit right in. Now for something completely different... 15 seconds of "I'm Gonna Love You More Than Anyone" by Gavin DeGraw. This may be a breakup, because I see good things for her in Hollywood. By a count of 3-1, Randy dissenting, she's in.

Oscar... a little pitchy, dog.

Nicki can apparently do a southern accent. Speaking of crazy, hi, Zoanette Johnson (19; Tulsa, OK; habilitation health specialist), who needs a Golden Ticket to match her shirt. She's going to sing the National Anthem. Please rise...

... and somewhere Roseanne is laughing her tail off. God bless America... and get off the stage.

Wait a minute, she's going on too? What is this show coming to? All you have to do is sing the national anthem and tell Obama to invite you to the White House. Someone get Gordon Pepper on the phone.

And we've arrived at the get-that-f'ing-camera-out-of-my-face montage. Or, you know.. not.

Anastasia Freeman (25; Ardmore, OK; SAHM) is just jazzed to be here. Will she jazz up "Unbreak My Heart" by Toni Braxton? Once she gets up... okay, STAY DOWN! "I believe God told me to come and audition." Well, He didn't say anything about having any talent. That is on you.

Oh, did we mention that Anastasia is BSI? As in "making Nicki Minaj look normal by comparison?"

Attention, this is your principal speaking... Glee Club meets in eight minutes. That is all.

We've saved what is undoubtedly the best story for last. Meet 16-year-old Kayden Stevenson (Tulsa, OK), who doesn't have as long to live as other people. He has cystic fibrosis, and he's not expected to live past 35. He looks incredibly young because of it. This is his life-long dream. He sings "I Wish" by Stevie Wonder. He sounds like Michael Jackson at that age. Nicki calls her unique and an inspiration. Mariah wants to make the record right now. And the final audition of this phase... IS A YES.

And with that, the auditions are OVER. In total, over 150 contestants are returning for Hollywood Week, but if you think that you know how to play the game? We're going to show you how it's REALLY played. Next week, everything you know about Boot Camp is going to change. When it's all over, only 20 guys and 20 girls will be left standing.

We end the show with one more audition... "Pepper Labeija"... who looks a LOT like someone who was on the panel last year. Hi, Steven Tyler! How ya doing?
