Family Game Night Christmas

It's Christmastime at
Family Game Night. We've spent two weeks getting ready for this
occasion. We hope you like it.

It's Christmas, so we have to give
away the BIG money: $25,000! Hey, we had the time to stash it away.
SONIC WHAMMY'S PREDICTION: HAT
But at the same time, we've got a nice Christmas getaway for the
winners tonight, because they'll be going to New York City to see
the Rockettes at Radio City!.
Cranium Brain Break: Dad-A-Pult
The game's what it always is, but the catcher's outfit is a giant
Christmas tree for the occasion, of course.
It's a scramble to decorate the trees. So much so, that we finish in
a 5-5 tie. The tie goes to whoever landed the first ornament, and
that goes to Tommy. TOMMY'S

This game fits with the holiday. The shopping part of it, anyway.
And the Santa hats adorn the sliders.
Let's start with the prize dots. Tommy's got his on the 1-3 border due
SSE, and Anilee has hers in the 1 zone due northwest. Tommy will go
second.
Anilee's slider bounces back to just touch the 3 and miss the danger
dot, while Tommy nets a 1. Karli-Jo pushes her way too soft, but a hard
push by Nicholas bumps Anilee off the wall and back into the 3... on the
danger dot. And with Tommy's 1 just hanging on, that's a win.
FINAL SCORE: 1-0 Tommy
Time for the parents. Marichelle starts with a curve bounce on the 3,
while Jodi JUST misses the bullseye and a push. Jack DOES push them back
to the 1 and snags the prize dot. Karl pushes back for a 3, but he
knocks his other red out, and the yellow slider bounces right back to
the prize dot and just tags the 3 zone underneath.
FINAL SCORE: 3-3 TIE
That tie seals the win for Tommy.

I feel like these games fit the theme totally. After all the bumping
in the malls, you are left a little dizzy, aren't you?
It's nip and tuck early on, with no one building a lead right away. A
freeze by Marichelle puts then behind a little, and they're racing to
catch up for the next 10 cards. But with 2 cards to go, Karli-Jo can't
find anywhere to place her 2. Tommy's family manages to capitalize with
their final 5 cards before Anilee can race in with her 5.

the Christmas tunes on the piano a few weeks ago...

Nicholas got too caught up in the skipping that he too went for the 5
before the 3. He hit the 4 anyway, so it didn't matter.

The skipping just caught everyone in Tommy's family tonight, as
Marichelle skips the 3 to go for the 5 and hits the 4.

OK, I don't have anything to fit the Christmas theme for this one.

Well, the questions are Christmas-themed. Outside of that, I've still
got nothing.
Tommy sends Jack moving first, and he makes it home 2 moves later.
Marichelle almost makes it to the finish immediately, and a comeback by
Anilee is thwarted in 2 questions.

Now that's Todd's got his hearing back from
having Anilee and Karli-Jo scream for the game before the break, we can
play. And yes, Christmas is green, "Green" Scream, I got it.
Tommy's chosen to go first, so he and Nicholas are gonna get wrapped up.
We've got 1:30 on the clock, and there's no categories tonight. It's
just holiday images for everyone.

The mittens stopped the roll that Tommy's parents were on, and they just
missed Fruitcake before the buzzer got them. Didn't matter, because
Anilee's folks couldn't pick up the images.

The games are over, and Anilee's tree is a
little empty. She's got a 2-5 disadvantage, but there could still be a
Christmas miracle waiting.

Wow, that Battleship gotcha thinking for a moment. But I'm still glad
they got it, because they walked away with some very nice money.

I want to think there's a Christmas trick to that one, too, but I can't.
