All right, I'm in the
mood for some big time games. Let's meet our families:
Kyla's
Family
Leader: KYLA (Kid chef and jam-mer)
Older sister: BRIANNA (What older sister ISN'T a bathroom hogger?)
Mother: LISA (Snapping pics every chance she gets)
Father: GUS (Every accent under the sun) |
Payton's
Family
Leader: PAYTON (Dancing machine)
Older brother: DYLAN (Trampolining... machine? There's gotta be a
better term than that.)
Mother: LORI (Former beauty queen - really!)
Father: BARRY (Master of his grilling domain) |
Tonight, we feel like raising the
stakes a bit, because we're playing for $15,000!
SONIC WHAMMY'S PREDICTION: PRETZEL
And for the winning family, we've got a trip to Orlando waiting for
them.
Cranium Brain Break: House of Cards
Both teams have the same angled idea, but Payton's house slips when
they put the first roof on. That gives Kyla's family the edge and
they coast to the win. KYLA'S

PAYTON'S CARD: DOG
SORRY! SLIDERS
Kyla chooses to go first. Both girls place their prize dots on the
1-3 border, Kyla behind the bullseye, Payton to the west.
For the kids, a lot of pushes to the back zone. Kyla hits a 1, Payton
knocks it out, Brianna can't quite bump that one out, but gets back her
team's point, and Dylan misses entirely. So it's a 1-1 tie, leaving it
all to the parents.
FINAL SCORE: 1-1
Lori starts for the parents. She busts out going for her prize dot, but
Lisa hits hers. But then Barry bumps it out, and Gus can't land with the
last slider.
FINAL SCORE: 1-3 PAYTON
PAYTON'S FAMILY WINS: A 2-hour scuba lesson at Eco Dive Center

I feel like Dana White should be here sometimes when I hear this
game is coming. *shrug* Here's the eliminations:
1) GUS (Fell asleep on the FIRST COMMAND and forgot to whack)
2) DYLAN (Forgot to kick)
3) BARRY (Didn’t whack fast enough)
4) PAYTON (Rotated on a reverse)
5) BRIANNA AND KYLA (Both rotated on a reverse)
6) LISA (Ran past the twist station during a rotate; you can't skip a
station)
PAYTON'S FAMILY WINS: A 3-night stay aboard the Queen Mary.

Hey, someone took my card! Please let me be right this week... *crossing
fingers*
SPELLING BEE
The moms are ready to "bee" silly. Payton's going second. 1:30 on the
clock.
Lisa: GLUE, SALAD, BANJO, HANGER, MAKEUP, (TIME UP!) FOOTBALL
TOTAL: 500 POINTS
Lori: FORK, GLOBE, BENCH (pass), RADIO, (TIME UP!) SHOVEL
TOTAL: 300 POINTS
Bench just wasn't happening in spite of the clue, "It's in the park."
That ate up all their time.

Kyla's family was all disoriented. They kept trying to lock in a wrong
answer on the 1st point, gave up the right answer just before they
locked in on the 4th point, and lost the last two points by a split
second.

Kelty 6-man tent

Both sides had tons of missed shots that failed to capitalize on wins
and blocks until the blocking family finally connected. Gus needed to
block the top slot in #3 to keep it going, but got #2 instead, and
Payton finally closed it out.

We've got our cards, we've played our games... It's Crazy Cash Time!
MONOPOLY CRAZY CASH MACHINE
After that marathon, Payton has arrived at the Crazy Cash Machine in
cruise control. Between a 5-2 card edge AND my prediction of the
pretzel, Kyla's got no chance.
Payton's gonna start, though? Hmm...

PRETZEL: $485 (Nuts! At least someone picked my card.)

This is not a runaway. Kyla just needs one card to be big to win this.

WINNER: KYLA'S FAMILY
They WERE big cards, and they make the comeback to win the trip to
Orlando! And the money could have been even bigger if they chose the
$15,000 card behind... the SODA. (Darn, I was a week early.)
What excitement awaits this week? And when will we see the debut of
