Week 6:
Coming Attractions
April 13
It seems that like his old charcter,
Calhoun Tubbs, David Alan Grier is singing the blues, but we're
rocking out to a new week, and we hope you'll be as is as our 8
couples tackle the jive and the rumba. Let's pop this in the toaster
and get it started!
We start things off with Ty & Chelsie doing a jive to "The Girls Gone
Wild" by Travis Tritt. Ty did a jump over Chelsie and she did a split
from there. She also did a through & out move and even 3 high kicks.
On to the judges for the first time. Carrie Ann said it was an
exciting job, Len said he tried it 100% and Bruno said the line
dancing was good. Line the numbers up:
CARRIE: 6
LEN: 6
BRUNO: 6
Total Score: 18
Not good, but we're just beginning!
Shawn & Mark will now rumba to "Slow Dancing In a Burning Room" by
John Mayer. Shawn did a split and did everything good to make it a 26
and the lead for now.
Next, Lawrence & Edyta doing a jive to "Ain't That Peculiar" by Marvin
Gaye. Some highlights include Edyta doing a circle kick, a flip over
and a though & out move 2 times. Now we go to the judges. Carrie Ann
said it was a great performance, Len said it captured the style of the
dance and Bruno said the reboot worked. Let's get the scores in
now....please.....
CARRIE: 7
LEN: 7
BRUNO: 8
Total Score: 22
And they get 2nd place.
Next, Melissa & Tony doing a rumba to "If I Were A Boy" by Beyonce.
Melissa did a slow split and that was it. To the judges. Carrie Ann
said she believed every minute of the passion, Len said it was very
interesting choreography and Bruno said her body uses the most
incredible shape. Shape up the scoreboard!
CARRIE: 9
LEN: 9
BRUNO: 9
Total Score: 27
And they lead by one!
Here's Lil' Kim & Derek doing a jive to "Jailhouse Rock" by Elvis
Presley. Derek did his darnedest to sneak out, But Kim played guard
with a flashlight. Derek jumped over Kim via judges table and did a "I
got shot" gesture. Kim pulled out to Derek by shirt and both did arm
work. Kim did a through & out move while Derek jumped over Kim. To the
judges we go. Carrie Ann said it was mind blowin', Len said it was fun
and Bruno said he is guilty of love in the first degree. I hereby
sentence them to the leaderboard:
CARRIE: 10
LEN: 8
BRUNO: 10
Total Score: 28
And now, they have the lead!
Next up, Steve-O & Lacey doing a rumba. I think they did pretty well.
On to the judges. Carrie Ann said she mesmerized him pretty well, Len
said there was no hip action and Bruno said Lacey look hot. Can we
keep the hot scoring streak going?
CARRIE: 7
LEN: 4
BRUNO: 5
Total Score: 16
Sent to the basement!
Gilles & Cheryl jive to "Dance, Dance" by Fall out Boy. Cheryl did a
pull out move in the band area and jumped to the floor. Gilles did a
foot slide and a couple of bobbleheads by both. Off to the judges.
Carrie Ann said to watch the arms next time, Len said it had very nice
footwork, and Bruno said put 110% on everything. Let's get our scores:
CARRIE: 9
LEN: 8
BRUNO: 9
Total Score: 26
We get 3rd place for the couple.
Let's end it with Chuck & Julianne doing "She Will be Loved" by Maroon
5. Julianne did some spins and did a foot drag. Everything else was
pretty, and 23 for them is really pretty.
That's all we have. The scoreboard reads like this: Lil' Kim gets 28.
Melissa gets 27, Shawn & mark have 26, Chuck has 23, and LT has 22. Ty
has 18 and the tinfoil goes to Steve-O with 16. We hope this episode
of DWTS brought joy to your life whether it was the rumba or the jive,
and tomorrow's results show will do the same again. We'll see you
later.
