Week 2:
Ever Wonder Why Hopscotch Is Legal in 50 States?
March 16
Last week, everyone got the free pass
after 2 replacements and 1 low score. This week, the 13 will tackle
what's on the menu: The salsa or the quickstep. After this, 2 will be
shown the door in hopes of narrowing it down to the winner.
Kicking things off, Holly & Dmitry doing a quickstep. They went down
the entrance area and Holly did a high kick. Now to the judges. Carrie
Ann said it was like a doll, Len said it was a little bit lacking and
Bruno said it was like running for a basketball team. All they put up
was an 18 giving them 36 for the 2 weeks.
Next up, David & Kym doing a salsa. Kym did a back kick and put her in
twirls. Both did arm work and Kym did a split. Both did a kikd & mom
gesture and Kym did a quick split to end it. On to the judges. Carrie
Ann said he was driven from the musicality, Len said it was far too
much of Kym and Bruno said he needs to work on the hips next time. We
get a score of 17 for a combined score of 36.
Denise & Maks get ready to quickstep to "We Go Together" from
"Grease." Maks did a foot slide and Denise did a high kick. They both
went to the band area for an ending. On to the scores:
CARRIE: 7
LEN: 7
BRUNO: 7
Total Score: 21
Week 2 Score: 39
Belinda & Johnathan go salsa next to "higher" by Gloria Estefan.
Belinda danced on 2 chairs and did some bad twists. However, she
bounced back by doing a handstand. Where's the scoreboard?
CARRIE: 6
LEN: 6
BRUNO: 6
TOtal Score: 18
Week 2 Score: 35
Up next, Ty & Chelsie get up & quickstep to "Life is a Highway" by
Rascal Flatts. The starting point was the entrance area and Chelsie
even did a split. Can I get a check of the scores?
CARRIE: 7
LEN: 6
BRUNO: 7
Total Score: 20
Week 2 Score: 34
Moving on, we have Shawn & Mark doing salsa. Shawn did a split and
another at the end. That was the highlights I have for you. To the
scoreboard....
CARRIE: 8
LEN: 8
BRUNO: 8
Total Score: 24
Week 2 Score: 47
And up next, it's Steve & Karina going for a quickstep to "Oh Boy" by
Buddy Holly, and overcoming an injury. Karina did some high kicks and
held up a "1" paddle. Never in my life have we seen a "1" paddle on
this show. To the scoreboard:
CARRIE: 6
LEN: 5
BRUNO: 6
Total Score: 17
Week 2 Score: 30
Now on deck, Julianne & Chuck doing a salsa to "(Say Hey) I Love You."
Chuck did a solo and then a knee slide and Julianne took control with
a few spins. Now let's spin out of control with the numbers.
CARRIE: 6
LEN: 7
BRUNO: 7
Total Score: 20
Week 2 Score: 40
Lawrence & Edyta go next as they quickstep to "As Long as I'm
singing." This show is about dancing, so Edyta did a circle kick and
did a 360-degree floor sweep. That gives them a 20 for a total score
of 36 for the 2 weeks.
Onward, it's Steve-O & Lacey doing a salsa. But it's on tape. Did they
tape it? Well, yes during a dress rehearsal. Steve-O is at home
relaxing despite that injury. Both did flip overs as a lone highlight.
Lacey is alone at the stage, but we're not alone for the math.
CARRIE: 5
LEN: 4
BRUNO: 5
Total Score: 14
Week 2 Score: 31
Can I have Lil' Kim & Derek up, please? They're about to quickstep to
"Diamonds are a gir's best friend" by Marilyn Monroe. After a royal
entrance, they acted like kings & Queen of the ballroom. On to the
scores:
CARRIE: 8
LEN: 7
BRUNO: 8
Total Score: 23
Week 2 Score: 44
Okay, Melissa & Tony, you're up. They're about to salsa to "The Cup of
Life" by Ricky Martin. Melissa did a pull through and both did arm
work. On to some number stuff.....
CARRIE: 9
LEN: 8
BRUNO: 9
Total Score: 26
Week 2 Score: 49
To top the night off, Gilles & Cheryl doing a quickstep to
"Kryptonite" by 3 Doors Down. One highlight you might see is Gilles
thrwoing the glasses off and ripped his suit into a Superman outfit. I
was hoping for the Hulk, but what the heck. Last check of the scores:
CARRIE: 9
LEN: 9
BRUNO: 9
Total Score: 27
Week 2 Score: 51
So after 2 weeks of competition, here's how they stand. In the top 3,
Gilles has 51, Melissa has 49, and Shawn has 47. The rest of field
goes like this: Lil' Kim has 44, 40 has Chuck Wicks, Denise has 39, 3
36s go to David, Holly and Lawrence, a 35 goes to Belinda, Ty 's
hanging in with 34 points and Steve-0 has 31, but the ball of tinfoil
once again goes to Steve with 30. Think that helps? Then tune in to se
which 2 couples will be ousted from the competition. Hope you have
been judged carefully. Good night.
