Life's a Mystery... Meat
May 11
It’s the mother of all cooking shows with subterfuge incorporated into it, direct from Alton Brown’s International House of Sabotageᵀᴹ. So let’s say hi to Diana, Perry, Dre and Kristina, who get their $25,000 stipend. You know the rest: winner keeps any leftovers.

In the first round, we’re having Sloppy Joes. Perry has one big problem: he forgot the bread product that is part of a sandwich. Dre wins the bidding of a mystery meat swap for $4,500, forcing Perry to use halibut, Diana gets bison meat and Kristina gets spammed with canned ham product. Perry then spends $9,700 to make Diana cook with plastic wrap and tin foil. Mid round, Diana forces Dre to finish his meal ten minutes early for $1,500. And here’s Jet Tila, today’s judge and jury, as we end the cooking. After the tasting, it’s vaya con dios to Kristina, who looks like Miley Cyrus and got hit with a returning $25,000 wrecking ball.

Heading into round two, Diana has $23,500, Dre holds $20,500 and Perry brings up the rear with $15,3,00. And for this round, we’ll make Chicken Piccata. Diana pays $5,500 to force Dre to use frozen chicken nuggets and Perry to use canned chicken. Dre then pays $4,300 to force an lemon meringue pie in place of all citrus products upon Diana. Jet returns for another tasting, and decides that Dre will have to return $16,200 for his poor effort.

In the last round, Diana leads with $18,000, and Perry is behind with $15,300. Since summer’s near, lets make some funnel cake like they have down on the boardwalk. Perry pays $6,000 to force Diana to play a carnival game for confiscated ingredients, but Diana returns the favor for $1,200 to make Perry use vinaigrette dressing for frying. Well, Jet flies back, and $9,300 is at stake for Perry, while Diana has a $16,800 bank, And when all the munching is complete, Perry wins.

Join us again in a week when the wild things continue.
