There Are A Lot of Nuts
and Bullets Six teams make their way to Oman, where a lull in the action gives Chad the moment of a lifetime, proposing to Stephanie. Together, Team Very Recently Engaged punch in as Team #1, while Miss KY & Dad Gary & Mallory punch out as the last team to arrive. Now we're down to five as the Race continues from the Middle East. PIT
STOP Chad & Stephanie kick Leg 9 off with this...
Nat is a diabetic, which may make this task hard. The other departure times... Jill & Thomas (Team No I'M
Right): 1127 And it looks like all of the teams will end up on the same flight that will put them in Bangladesh tomorrow at noon, except for the Rhyming Docs, who end up flying to Dubai, AND Jill & Thomas, who end up on a flight that will arrive at 5a. Meanwhile, Chad & Stephanie take a chill break at a fast-food place known for their mixed-dairy treats. We can't say what the place is, but we can say that there's a blizzard in the desert. Nick & Vicki take the second flight that connects through Dubai up from under Team HSN. Over in Dubai, the Rhyming Docs end up... on the same flight as the other teams. 1st
Flight: Team No I'M Right! DHAKA, BANGLADESH It's 6 in the morning, and it looks more like 9 as Jill & Thomas head to market to chug down sugarcane. They have no problem cranking sugar. Thomas has no problem chugging the stuff, and they get this...
Jill & Thomas balance bricks, and on the way to the barge, they discover a whiff of sweating, dead animals, and other... such things... They end up counting out 100 bricks while dodging whatever it is that's in their way... and it's a lot of whatever it is, I should say.
Back in Dubai, the Docs wake up HSN and Engaged. HSN doesn't know it, but Jill & Thomas just U-TURNED them! They'll find out soon enough, but right now...
Once they get there, the flight from Dubai leaves (thanks, editing). But even leads that are nigh impossible to overcome are still privy to the winds of the Race. Consider this...
Jill heads into the garage and starts to work. The tools provided...
Give Jill credit, she really knows her way around a wrench. Nick & Vicki arrive and head to the market and their detour after Nick chugs down sugarcane juice. They go with Balanced Meal for their Detour. Thomas makes nice with the locals, while Jill finishes up her rickshaw. She forgot her chain. She needs that to continue. The Icks deliver their tiffin meals, while the last three teams arrive at the market (again, thanks, editing). Jill & Thomas FINALLY find the chain, and the garage master is happy to hand this over...
Nick & Vicki are delivering food, while the others toast on sugarcane to still being in this thing. They all decide to do some balanced meal.
PIT STOP Team No I'M Right! run to the music to greet Phil and the bandleader. They return the favor... as TEAM #1! They win a $7500 Discover gift card each! Back on the Race, the Icks are a machine getting their tiffins where they need to go. They head to the U-TURN and give Chad & Stephanie the bad news.... or not. It's time to head to the bazaar. Nick takes to the garage like a natural while the others deliver some food to a boat. The Rhyming Docs get an idea to deliver the food using their straps, which gives them a great advantage. Nick forgets his chain as well... and finds him. And after a choice word not suitable for broadcast, they head to the Pit Stop. Nat & Kat arrive at the U-TURN and give Chad & Stephanie the bad news... HSN finish their deliveries.... but check this out...
Nick & Vicki pull down the two-spot. Meanwhile, Nat takes the Detour, having built things bought from IKEA. And Chad & Stephanie... are lost... but not nearly as lost as they think they are. In fact, they're just in time for...
HSN finally finish their second Detour and head back to the bazaar, just as Chad & Steph are starting. And it looks like they may not make it to happily ever after if the bricks have their way. And Brook & Claire... same thing. Chad breaks one of his bricks. Nice. Brook & Claire meet up with Nat & Kat at the Roadblock, while Chad & Stephanie hustle to catch up. Now it's a race. Nat forgets her wheels as Stephanie starts on her rickshaw. And Chad, not being one to be left out... or silent... gives us some heckling. "BIG SMART DOCTOR CAN'T PUT A BICYCLE TOGETHER." Stay classy, Chad. Nat & Kat are the first of three to finish and head to the Pit Stop. Stephanie has issues with her seat, while Brook is trying to finish her bell... (And a special hello to everyone just tuning in for "Undercover Boss"; your program will start shortly.) Stephanie doesn't give up, and now it's a race to the Pit Stop. Who'll be the first to meet Phil and the band? The answer... after Nat & Kat check in at third. Night falls, and the fourth team to meet Phil... by a HAIR... BROOK & CLAIRE! That leaves Team Very Recently Engaged, who check in right after. They gave it their all and never gave up. Chad doesn't win the million, but he is still the richest man in the world, winning the love of a good woman along the way. But the Race continues...
