Gordon: I will say....a stone!
Chico: Yes... and you are a stoner... err.. stone aficionado.
Gordon: I found another question. Who was the modern stone-age family?
Chico: Ah, you got Stone Age Edition Volume 2. Lucky.
Gordon: I did.
Chico: BTW.. Flintstones.
Gordon: Yes! and you are good with history.
Chico: Now what's up with this next game?
Gordon: And now, we move on into more history, where we will focus on the
Past Idolers with an eye on the future. Ready?
Chico: Ready
Gordon: Here we go...
Better Pop Star - Katharine McPhee Vs. Kelly Clarkson
Chico: Kelly Clarkson. No contest. She's quite the versatile one, and her
album has skyrocketed. While Katharine's went to #2... and then... below 10, I
think.
Gordon: I agree. This one's pretty much a throwaway, because there's really
no other pop star other than Kelly. Maybe it will change this year...Next One...
Better Rocker - Chris Daughtry Vs. Bo Bice
Chico: Wow...This one's hard. Bo rocks by himself, while Chris needs a band
to rock. Therefore, Bo is the harder rocker. Although Daughtry is the better
band. Har har. =p
Gordon: just to disagree with you, I'll say Daughtry. Chris has had chart
success that Bo never has had. In addition, I see Chris lasting a lot loonger
than Bo, who seems to be content to fade out of the limelight.
Chico: I will give you that.
Gordon: Though honestly, if you picked Daughtry, I would have picked Bice.
They are both very close in talent.
Chico: This is true. Both are very good and I have both CDs in my car. It's
like saying "Who's better, Nickelback or Matchbox Twenty?"
Gordon: There you go.
Chico: BTW: Correct answer, Nickelback :)
Gordon: Next one...
Better
R&B'er - Ruben Studdard Vs. Jennifer Hudson
Chico: Ruben. Sorry about Jennifer, but I've only heard her do one thing.
Granted, she does it well, but Ruben just straight blows on standards, R&B, and
gospel - then again, I'm not a gospel person.
Gordon: Jennifer is the total package. Granted, Ruben, during Idol, blew
everyone away, but in the real world, his career has been faltering. Jennifer
may
suffer the same fate, but she has the singing chops right now, so I'll go with
her.
Chico: And if she takes the Ruben way out, at least there's that Golden
Globe thing to fall back on.
Gordon: That's true. They are also two very good talents
Chico: Next one...
Better Rockabilly Artist - Carrie Underwood Vs. Taylor Hicks.
Chico: Taylor Hicks. By far. I don't see any women Rockabilly singers. And
besides, Carrie's cut from the Faith Hill mold and SHE's not rockabilly either.
Gordon: Did we not pay attention to what Carrie did at the Grammys?
Chico: I was watching something else =p
Gordon: Carrie did a great rockabilly job with Rascal Flatts. She's got the
chops and is VASTLY improved from what she did in Idol.
Chico: I still think Taylor's emotion vastly overpowers Carrie's... err...
absence thereof.
Gordon: Taylor has the emotion. Carrie has the stage presence. Very close
call again. Carrie has the charisma as well. Next one...
Better judge - Randy Jackson Vs. Paula Abdul
Chico: ... Randy. Next question :)
Gordon: I'm guessing that if I put Simon up there, he wins, regardless, right?
Chico: Right. Next question.
Gordon: I had to do some sort of judging competition. There's no other
musical judge that touched these three.
Chico: Good. Next Question!
Final One. Better Host - Ryan Seacrest Vs...no, not Brian Dunkleman...no, not
Billy Bush...but what about Dick Clark?
Chico: Dick Clark now or Dick Clark five years ago?
Ryan Seacrest (who's right now in his prime) Vs Dick Clark in his prime
Chico: Dick Clark. Of course. He is the master. The teacher. The monolith of
the powerful Pyramid.
Gordon: Pyramid, Bandstand, A New Year's Eve Show. It takes people like Brian
Dunkleman to show how well Dick Clark does his job.
Chico: *blink* yes it does. Three words..."Looks easy.... Isn't."
Gordon: Yep. On that note - It's over. We move to the Big Finish - after this
(Brought to you by Deal Or No Deal-Animated Edition. 26
Cartoon Characters like Jabberjaw and The Blue Falcon hold cases while Charlie
Brown sees if he can avoid the penny case. Bobby from 'Bobby's World' hosts.)
Chico: Pick Sailor Moon, #16! Okay, time's running short, let's finish big.
Gordon: We still have 2 weeks left of February Sweeps. Do we get a big game
show winner?
Chico: We have to. Law of averages and all. Survivor. Erica's gone. Who's
next?
Gordon: Anyone else have a panic attack on the island yet?
Chico: Not yet. Could happen maybe. When you haven't eaten a kosher meal in
six days...
Gordon: True. Amazing Race. Who leaves first?
Chico: Teri and Ian Although I could be wrong. I'm probably wrong.
Gordon: I think you are wrong. The disconnected teams leave first. No one
could be more disconnected than John Vito and Jill, so I elect them or Kevin and
Drew to leave first.
Chico: Let's just say that and leave it at that. Any mail today? First is from our good friend Bobby McBride. Thanks, Bobby!

I've been watching this season of "Family Feud". I don't know about
the rest of you, but this season has been nothing short of amazing. I'm not
sure if it was the addition of John O' Hurley that motivated the contestants
over there, but listen to all of this. So far, we have had NINE undefeated
families this season. I don't recall a single season of the syndicated Feud with
Ray Combs with that many! I also remember at least NINE families win at least
$40,000, with some of them not even retire undefeated! Given that, I'm surprised
we haven't had a $60,000 winning family so far this season. Given all of
this, the show could very well put together a legitimate Tournament of Champions
in May, unlike the past few seasons with some of the families from this season.
If the Houstons and/or the Shumates are in the mix for a tournament, expect
them to go deep there. When you include all of this, a great retro set and a
great host in John O' Hurley, this season of sydnicated Feud has been, in my
opinion, the best ever. A Tournament of Champions in May will just be the icing
on the cake for me!

Chico: Thanks, Bobby. I have to agree that this is the best Feud season of
this current series of Family Feud and it all comes down to a classy host, a
post modern retro set, and likeable players.. Combine that with classic play... Boo yah.
Gordon: Its been a very good season - BUT - those ratings need to go up in
order for the show to continue airing.
Chico: We are assured of a ninth season, though. We'll see what happens.
Gordon: Thanks for the e-mail. Next up - Josh Johannesen
Chico: Hi Josh!

Last week on WLTI, you made a statement which is half-correct, about Vicki
Monzingo's game being the shortest of the season (no pun intended, because
saying the "least lengthy game" just doesn't sound right). However, there is
another player who took a Deal at the 8-case point this season. Way back on
October
5, Ron Rosania officially became the first player on U.S. shores to take an
offer before reaching the 1 case at a time portion of the game (8 to go). He
took a deal for $131,000 with only the Million as an amount higher than that
($100,000 fallback). He then proceeded to take out the Million on the 2nd case
of
the following round, proving his deal to be a great one.
So, interestingly enough, both players to walk with 8 cases left this season
have been proven to be absolutely correct in dealing. Well, it's not that
interesting to most... anyway, thanks for reading.

Gordon: Thanks Josh - and thanks for the notes.
Chico: Much appreciated... and if you think you can contribute to the good
times at WLTI, just drops us a line at
wlti@gameshownewsnet.com
Chico: We'd LOVE to hear from you.
Gordon: Please do. We love to hear from you
Chico: I just said that!
Gordon: And I just said a special thanks to...Gordon and Chico for getting up
real early for this show.
Chico: No prob. I'm going to bed. For Gordon Pepper and everyone at Game
Show Newsnet, I'm Chico Alexander, and until next time... Game over and spread
the love.
