Round of 8 (or "There's Nothing Hidden About a Chronicle")
August 29

On a week where football season is set to start, the top 8 tackle more routines than ever before. You'll see them right before your very eyes, and it starts now.

Modern Family's own Jesse Tyler Ferguson joins the cast and we begin with Witney and Twitch doing hip-hop to "My Homies Still" by Lil' Wayne with Big Sean. In matching black suits, they brought it on and brought it hard!

What Jesse said: They both are stars!
What I said: They tore it up!

Next up, Allison & Cole do contemporary to a Bjork instrumental. Allison got a split a few seconds after the song started and Cole dragged her back. He also did a mini-carry and she got dropped.

What Jesse said: It was insane!
What I said: I think it was Cole who did the work for him.

Here we have Ryan & Eliana doing a quickstep to "That Man" by Caro Emerald. Eliana waited on Ryan to sit down and read the LA Times and she blowed a kiss to her. Afert that quickstep, that was it.

What Mary said: It didn't throw her a curveball.
What I said: That was an insde the park homerun!

And next is Lindsay & Alex doing a jazz routine to "Someone That I used to Know" by Goyte. That routine brought a lot of creativity to this routine.

What Jesse said: The chemistry was 70% there.
What I said: They should've tried 90%.

Lauren & Will do hip-hop to "Dance My Pain Away" by Wye Oak. Will threw the trash out of the small table and Lauren told her to sit down. While Will danced sitting down on a table, Lauren messed around with a large seating area. By the end. they were dog tired.

What Jesse said: Will was ridiculously normal.
What I said: I think he did great.

Melanie & Cyrus do jazz to "Badder Badder Schwing" by Freddy Fresh w/Fatboy Slim. Both made some arm gestures seperate and together and Melanie did a kick and they brought some pizazz to it.

What Jesse said: Cyrus is the most magnetic dancer.
What I said: He lit it up like a pinball machine!

Chehon & Anya do an argentine tango to "Breaking Below Surface" by Jesse Cook. I think this routine brought a lot of passion to the ballroom.

What Mary said: It was just brillant.
What I said: I think Anya did learn what Chehon did in this dance.

And finally, Tiffany & Ade do contemporary to "The Power of Love" by Celine Dion. It was romantic at first, but Tiffany did a split and there was more.

What Jesse said: That is insane!
What I said: They did very well.

In addtion, all 8 had solos including one with an animation routine, but the bottom 4 were Witney, COle, Lindsay and Will. And the ax gets.............Lindsay & Will. 6 remain. The battle has never been better. We got 2 weeks left. We'll see you later for the round of 6.
