Round
of 10 (or "The Castle of Gloom")
August 22
Thnigs are about to change. The 10
dancers will now dance with the all-stars and it's about to get harder.
The top 10 will now dance to see who gets reduced to 8. They've already
got a spot on the tour, but now it's for the king & queen of dance.
Let's begin.
Benjamin Millepied is joining teh panel and we begin with Tiffany
teaming up with Brandon Bryant doing a disco to "You Make Me Feel" by
Cobra Starship. With the mirrorball on, it was kinda hard to see, but
they lit up the room to start the program.
What Nigel said: Fantastic!
What I said: Incredible!
Next, it's Witney and Nick Lazzarini as a tag team as they do jazz to
"Sing It Back" by Moloko. Witney took the mic and Nick decided to play
around with it. By the end, it was just a spotlight when the lights
faded.
What Benjamin said: I thought was excellent.
What I said: That was one sexy routine!
Third, it's the team of Cole & Anya doing a cha-cha to "Glad You Came"
by The Wanted. Cole out a foot over Anya and later did a split
run-through. Later, they did arm work followed bya romantic ending.
What Mary said; She is still a hot tamale train!
What I said: Of course, why not?
Lindsay and Jakob Karr do Broadway to "Dancin' Dan" from "Fosse."
Lindsay mickmcked herself behind a shadow and both switched hats. The
shadow was changed from white to pink and the hats were gone.
What Nigel said; Lindsay was tremenous.
What I said: I think the color change was cool.
Kathryn & WIll do a Bollywood routine to "ooh La la" from "The Dirty
Picture." Will played snake charmer and out came Kathryn. She took
control with a romantic diss gesture and by the end,she did the
snake....on the floor.
What Nigel said: He brings personality to everything he does.
What I said: He's a real snake charmer!
Cryus will team up with Jamie to do contemporary to "Outro" by M83.
Cyrus said before the routine that he was scared, but he decided to go
for it and take a chance at this routine.
What Benjamin said: I found the raw energy really exciting.
What I said: They took a gamble and it pays off.
Here's Chehon & Lauren Gottlieb doing hip-hop to 6 free, er, "Pretty
Wings" by Maxwell. I think both did well, took control and made this
routien their own.
What Nigel said: It was so much warmer.
What I said: I think this lukewarm performance did pretty well.
George goes up with Allison Holker to do a jazz routine. George was the
first to control the stick and after a jump, Allison took it, Later,
George dragged her and took the stick away, then Allison took it from
the floor. By the end, both fought over it and George took control.
What Benjamin said: George attacked every step with a vegance.
What I said: George took it like a man!
Eliana & Alex Wong will do contemporary to "Bang Bang" by Nancy SInatra.
They were doing well with a tree and a red color backgruond. It's not
even fall yet!!!
What Benjamin said: She was driven by so much passion.
What I said; they fueled a great routine.
And the last routine goes to Audrey and Twitch doing hip-hop to "Sincerly,
Jane" by Janelle Monae. Audrey woke up from the casket and it was a
zombie hip-hop jamboree.
What Nigel said: I would like to see more character.
Wha I said: I think it's my favorite of the night.
Time to make a cut. George, Witney, Chehon and Audrey go on to the solo
round.
SOLO ROUND

to a "Dreamgirls" song. Chehon did some ballet adn George was last for
his contemporary routine. And the ax goes to.....Audrey and George. 8
