Going Ape
February 20

On the last uplink of "Solitary", a twisted keyboard left one player, #5 Todd, free from the threat of elimination. Things got even more twisted when the contestants were playing Twister with math and lasers... Eriq got tired and quit, leaving the game. But the treatment continues.

The pods, once more...

  2) Rommel Gargoles
30
Martial arts instructor
3) Kelsey Thorn
20
Student
  5) Todd Ranck
31
Bartender
6) Tyler Tongate
29
environmentalist/Solitary 2.0 runner up
7) Bea Henington
25
high school teacher & missionary
  9) Liberty Freeman
33
Children's party entertainer who died three times

The pain is beginning to take its toll on the Solitarians, but no one will give an inch. Penalty rounds are flying all over the place.

Next, hands on 3 and 8, feet on 4 and 7 for two minutes... After 32 rounds and one elimination, the players suffer needlessly. Rommel wants to quit, but he doesn't want to push the red button. Another penalty is coming, as #7 Bea is forced to bow out or try again. And again... and again... And again. After four tries, Bea presses the red button. However, she was not the first to quit, as Eriq has already vacated. #3 Kelsey... is also done.

But... their stay in Solitary continues. TREATMENT ENDS.

The remaining guests have a reward, as they get to cook their own steak. How much they decide to cook it is in their hands, but the first to finish will get a sleep reward.

Winner... with a time of 16:01, is #5, Todd. He'll sleep like a baby, but the others will have to hit the hay.... literally.

Good night. Or if you're #3... Kelsey.... bad night. She's done. Again.

The next morningeveningafternoon, the guests awaken to find painting products to do up their pods.

Next up, VAL gives the Solitarians 250 stamps to stick to their bodies. How quickly they can adhere them all will factor in an upcoming challenge. The quickest was... #3. But Todd is feeling the strain, though. Is it better to know or not know that you may be losing your mind?

TEST: Blow Out

To survive in Solitary, you have to be good at solving problems, especially those that can blow up in your face. Using "Val Hands", traffic cones, and horse groomers... in that order.. the contestants will have to blow up beach balls. Then use the beachballs to create a stack tall enough to reach the green line. The first person to do that will receive freedom from the next Treatment.

The hardest part of course... is ripping the bottles open. But once that's done, it doesn't get easier... Keep a cool head, and you may win the day.

... Like #6 Tyler. He doesn't think he was the first, but he WAS. And now he's free from Treatment.

Meanwhile, the Podlings have been given a reward based on how they did in their Stamp Act, anywhere from 25,000 to 50,000 Vallors. They'll use those in a solitary Auction.

- Steal One Hour of Sleep: Sold to #6 Tyler for V5000
- Crying Babies in One Pod for One Hour: Sold to #6 Tyler for V10,000
- Wasabi & Chocolate Shot to One Pod: Sold to #5 Todd for V5000
- Ten Slaps with a Penalty Paddle: Sold to #7 Bea for V35,000

And Todd thinks that everyone is gone.

- A Letter from Home: Sold to #5 Todd for V10,000
- Another Letter from Home: Sold to #5 Todd for V15,000

And Todd's done gone crazy...

- Cheeseburger with Fries: Sold to #3 Kelsey for V20,000

Auction over. We find out that Todd paid for the same letter.. TWICE. He gives the wasabi shot to #6 Tyler. He steals an hour from Kelsey and gives her some crying babies. Bea tosses the slaps to #6 Tyler.

TEST: Gorilla Warfare

Each Podling gets an ape suit and a few bananas. They will have to monkey around with some simian tasks. The first person to hit the red button is out of this zoo...

The rota goes running laps, ground slaps, cymbal crashes, bananas. #2 Rommel doesn't know the difference between a ground slap or a cymbal crash. He's going to have to eat a banana in 60 seconds as a penalty.

And if you puke bananas, then your body will have quit for you.

Ground slaps do the lot in, meaning that we have a penalty banana coming.... but not to Todd. He red buttons. His body has maxed out. And just like that, Todd's stay in Solitary is.... OVER. Please evacuate your pod.

But the treatment continues...

TRANSMISSION ENDS.
