"I've been around the world, from London to the bay, It's hammer, yo hammer, MC hammer, go hammer, and the rest ____ ____ ____ ____..."

It's "Don't forget The Lyrics" time! On our last show, 1 comic book geek played hero to $100,000, while a mailman got a stamp marked 'Zero." Let's see who will be a hero, who "can go & play" for a million, and who has the will to sing.

Patricia Canale from the Bronx is a waitress who is one of 12 children and used to be a tap-dancing cupcake. I love cupcakes! Let's tap in to these categories:

ROCK                        ONE-HIT WONDERS

POP                           COUNTRY

R&B                          AMERICAN FAVORITES

1980'S                       POWER BALLADS

                  DIANA ROSS

Her first choice: Pop, and they are:

  • Saturday Night-Bay City Rollers

  • Ride like the Wind-Christopher Cross

She gets Ride like the wind. Let's ride!

It is the night
My body's weak
I'm on the run
No time for sleep
I've got to ride
Ride like the wind
To be free again

And I've got such a long way to go
To make it to the...THE WHAT?

Patricia's answer: Border of Mexico. Hope there's a Taco Bell somewhere, good luck finding it, but she locks it in.........CORRECT! Her next move: American favorites. How about these?

  • Have you ever seen the rain?-CCR

  • My Sharona-The Knack

She gets My Sharona. Let's go!

Ooh, my little pretty one, my pretty one
When you gonna give me some time, Sharona
Ooh, you make....STOP! What, Patricia?

Patricia's answer: motor run run. But she runs into a 2 words back up. She gets the first 2 right and her answer is: My motor run. She locks it in.....YES! And she gets: Rock. Rock out with these:

  • You Don't mess around with jim-Jim Croce

  • I go to Extremes-Billy Joel

She gets I go to extremes. Let's rock it!

Call me a joker, call me a fool
Right at this moment I'm totally cool
Clear as a crystal, sharp as a knife
I feel like I'm in the prime of my life
Sometimes it feels like I'm going too fast
I don't know how long this feeling will last
Maybe it's only tonight

Darling I don't know why I got to extremes
Too high...STOP!

Patricia's answer: Or too low. Talk about Card Sharks. She locks it in....NO BUST! Correct! What's her next plan: 1980's. The 2 songs are:

  • Somebody's watching me-Rockwell

  • Maniac-Michael Sembello

She gets Maniac. Let's go crazy!

Just a still town girl on a Saturday night, lookin' for the fight of her life
In the real-time world no one sees her at all, they all say she's crazy

Locking rhythms to the beat of her heart, changing woman into life
She has danced into the danger zone, when a dancer becomes a dance

It can cut you like a knife, if the gift becomes the fire
On a wire between will and what will be

She's a maniac, maniac on the floor
And she's dancing...STOP! Go, Patricia.

Patricia's answer: Like she's never danced beofre. Like you know. She locks it in.....CORRECT!  And she gets: R&B. They are:

  • Higher & higher-Rita Coolidge

  • You Give Good love-Whitney Houston

She gets You Give Good love. Will she be good? Let's find out.

I found out what I've been missing
Always on the run
I've been looking for someone

Now you're here like you've been before
And you know just what I need
It took some time for me to see

That you give good love to me baby
So good take this heart of mine into your hands
You give good love to me baby
Never too much
Baby you give good love

Never stopping I was always searching...STOP! Searching for what?

Patricia's answer: for that perfect love, the kind that girls always dream of. Maybe it's a nightmare. She uses the 3 lines and goes with C which is: For that perfect love
The kind that girls like me dream of. She locks it in.....CORRECT! And up next for her: Diana Ross. 2 songs by the Supremes leader are:

  • Someday We'll Be Together

  • You Can't Hurry Love

She gets the Phil Collins remake of that song. Let's go!

I need love, love
To ease my mind
I need to find, find someone to call mine
But mama said

You can't hurry love
No, you just have to wait
She said love don't come easy
It's a game of give and take

You can't hurry love
No, you just have to wait...STOP! Go ahead, Patricia.

Patricia's answer: Just trust in time, no mater how long it takes and i'll wait. We'll wait. But not longer. She calls out cosmo to....BAILOUT. Fairlly odd, isn't it. She stops at $200,000. The answer: You got to trust, give it time
No matter how long it takes. ANd we have time for our next contestant: Dottie Harris, a single mom from Oakland. Let's see how athlethic she is against these 9 categories:

ROCK                        BEE GEES

POP                          LOVE SONGS

R&B                          PARTY SONGS

IN THE MOVIES         CLASSIC ROCK

                           1980's

What's first: Love songs. They are:

  • The Game of Love-The Mindbenders

  • Truly-Lionel Richie

She gets Truly, and here we go!

Girl, tell me only this
That I'll have your heart for always
And you want me by your side
Whispering the words...STOP!

Dottie's answer: Of love & soul. Yeah!....or not. She decides to use her 2 words back up to correct the problem. Cross out Of and "And" with: Love and I'll. Her answer: I'll always love you. Aren't we all? She locks it in....CORRECT!  Her next move, The bee Gees and she gets "Stayin' Alive." Let's rock this place!

Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk,
I'm a woman's man: no time to talk.
Music loud and women warm, I've been kicked around
since I was born.
And now it's all right. It's OK.
And you may look...STOP! Look where?

Dottie's answer: The other way. But she locks it in, and there's no way she's.....RIGHT!  Her next category: In the movies. Catch a flick with these:

  • Grease-Frankie Valli

  • Shout-The Isley Bros.

She gets Grease. Let's roll!

I solve my problems and I see the light
We got a lovin' thing, we gotta feed it right
There ain't no danger we can go to far
We start believing now that we can be what we are

Grease...WHAT?!

Dottie's answer: Is the word. Word up. She locks it in.....YES! Next one: Party songs. She gets to party with:

  • Your mama don't dance-Loggins & Messina

  • I can't dance-Genesis

She gets the Loggins & Messina song. Here we go!

Your mama don't dance and your daddy don't
Rock and roll
Your mama don't dance and your daddy don't
Rock and roll
But when evening comes around and it's time to
Hit the town
Where do you go, to....STOP!  She blanks out. Save it until tomorrow, because we got a special day as Dottie connects for a million. May I remind you it's not what you know about it, it's what you sing about it.
