Final
Judgment: Part 2
February 23
Last night
on American Idol, fourteen singers made it through to
the semfinal round, with one singer - Adam Brock -
leaving us hanging. Will he join the 24? Who else will
join with him? And what elimination leads to a shocking
turn of events? All we know for certain is that by the
end of the night, we will have the 24 singers who, next
week, will sing for your vote.
LAS VEGAS
Wynn Las Vegas
We pick up where we left off
yesterday, with Adam Brock awaiting his fate... Randy can feel the joy
in his soul. .... HE IS THROUGH!
And then there were nine.
Next up, Jeremy Rosado, who
developed quick rapports with everyone he worked with, and he became a
star with his performance of "I Know You Won't" by Carrie Underwood. He
says that he's ready. The judges... also say he's ready! And then there
were eight.
Shannon Magrane struggled
through Hollywood Week, but she made amends with "What A Wonderful
World". Will "The Trouble With Love Is" by Kelly Clarkson cap it all
off? "Goosies." Thanks for that, Jennifer. She's IN. And then there were
seven.
Scott Dangerfield earned a
spot in Hollywood last year, but had to pull out. He's here to finish
the job this year with "Folsom Prison Blues" by Johnny Cash. He says he
was happy with his performance... but he accepted his criticism. And now
he'll accept his fate. He's OUT.
Skylar Laine is about to
find out if the top 24 has room for TWO country mavens. Her case is
proven with "Fancy" by Reba. It wasn't up to HER standards... but it was
up to the judges'. And then there were six.
Good news keeps coming for
Hallie Day, Chase Likens, and returning contestant Aaron Marcellus. And
then there were three.
Deandre Brackensick was cut
from the final judgment last year. Will that falsetto carry him through
"This Woman's Work" by Kate Bush? The judges loved it... but did they
love it enough? They DID! And then there were two.
Next up, Jermaine Jones had
his mother throughout her all. He makes no secret of being a momma's
boy. His final judgment: "I Believe In You And Me" by the late great
Whitney Houston. Before his ultimate moment, his composure begins to
crumble. He gathers what he has left and faces his fate... He did not
make the top 24 this time.
One spot left for the girls,
one more for the guys.
First up, Ariel Sprague,
Shelby Tweten, and Hollie Cavanagh.... Taking the final spot for the
ladies... HOLLIE.
That leaves Eben Franckewicz
and David "Mr. Steal Your Girl" Leathers. Two of the youngest
contestants. One of these guys will round out the top 24... That one...
EBEN.

Next week, the MEN will take
the stage Tuesday... the WOMEN will take the stage Wednesday. And the
