Penn Cambodia, Here We Come! As we begin the next leg of the Amazing Race, the teams have just spent a few days taking in Vietnamese culture, such as water dragons... balloons and toys in the park... and recycling electronics. Unfortunately for Marcy & Ron, it was all for naught as they were on the next plane back to America. Today, one team will break the cardinal rule and join them. PIT STOP Flight Time & Big Easy are on the mat and... are released with this!
One by one, the teams make their way past the bustling nightlife of Vietnam to get to the airport. The Trotters are first to the airport, only to discover that all flights to Cambodia will leave TOMORROW MORNING. And that only Vietnam Airlines are offering flights to Cambodia. Zev & Justin are the last to arrive at the counter. They and Lance & Keri arrive to find out that the 12:25 flight is full. They're on standby. On the 12:25p Flight And at the last second... a miracle. ALSO On the 12:25p Flight PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA And a special hello to the three of you who are tuning in for Three Rivers. The teams head to the FCC in a cab caravan, with Lance & Keri in the back. At the FCC, the teams get this clue... Sam & Dan first.
Their next location... the Hotel le Royal. The woman in this photo... Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. The teams know where the hotel is, but can they find the picture? Gary & Mike are the only ones who didn't need to ask anyone to get the picture right. Back at the FCC, Mika keeps saying "task" instead of "assignment"... That turns the journalist off. Eventually, he says "assignment" and joins the other Racers. Once they arrive at the Kennedy Suite, they have no time to sleep in the same bed that Jackie O slept in, because they're about to head into a...
Zev & Justin head to the Russian Market, and while they're in the taxi, they discuss karma with the cab driver, saying that telling the others to go to the wrong place is probably bad ju-ju. Pay attention. This is relevant. Sam & Dan head to the Russian Market as well. Seems like every team is going to the Russian Market. Lance & Keri, though, are going to COVER. Meanwhile, Zev & Justin are the first to find a matching scarf. When the shopkeeper finds out, she's more than happy to hand this over...
Zev & Justin decide to have the taxi drive while they walk behind. Sam & Dan aren't far behind. Flight Time & Big Easy get some help from some happy not-so-locals (they're on holiday from PA). Zev & Justin are the first to arrive at the wat and get...
Lance & Keri start selling helmets on the other side of town, while the other teams look for matching silks. While the teams head to the wat after matching said silks, Zev is still trying to find his inner monkey.... to the point of passing out. Sam & Dan take over the lead with their monkey maneuvers and get this...
Back at the market, Maria & Tiffany finally find the booths. Lance & Keri find it difficult to sell helmets. Flight and Ericka decide to go bananas... and it's proving to be rather easy. Meghan & Cheyne find their scarf in the market and hurry to the shrine, as do Gary & Matt. Lance & Keri finally sell their helmets and get on the way. Flight and Ericka finish the Roadblock and head to the Pit Stop, while Meghan and Gary find their power primate... And Maria & Tiffany finally find what they're looking for, as do Mika & Canaan. Now they're fighting to avoid last place. PIT STOP Zev & Justin are the first to arrive at the crash mat.... Sam & Dan are close behind at #2, and Flight & Big are in at #3. But not all is a pocketful of sunshine for the race leaders, as Zev & Justin realize that Zev's passport is not amongst their personal effects. They return to the mat with the news, and Phil notifies them that unless they find that passport, they'll be DQed. So right now, Sam & Dan are the race leaders unless Zev & Justin can find those passports. They find Justin's, but they'll have to go back onto the race course and find that passport before the last team arrives. They call for their cabbie to come get them so they can look around the city. Meanwhile, the monkeys line up to head to the Pit Stop, starting with Brian & Ericka. Then comes Gary & Matt... Meghan & Cheyne... Lance & Keri... Mika & Caanan... and Maria & Tiffany. Zev & Justin have NOT yet found Zev's passport, which means they are automatically eliminated. Justin blames himself, but Zev is far more optimistic, saying... "It just happens." They didn't want to go out this way, especially since they've run a good race up to this point. At least they'll be better friends because of it.
