Like Being Dropped on Mars Last time, 12 teams gathered, but only 11 would start the Race. Eric & Lisa were the first team ever eliminated at the starting line. That would take them to Japan and Vietnam. In Japan, Meghan & Cheyne were the first to arrive, while Maria & Tiffany were the last to arrive in an NEL. During their stay in Vietnam, the poker players were outed as such, Gary & Matt were the first to hit the mat, and Garrett & Jessica were eliminated. The Race continues from Cai Be, Vietnam... PIT STOP First up, the Bassac III picked up anchor and headed to the next destination, Mito, Vietnam. Next clue takes Gary & Matt from the docks of Mito to...
One by one, the teams find cabs to Ho Chi Minh City. Keri thinks that they're already in Ho Chi Minh City... Yeah, no. HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM First to the theatre are Flight Time & Big Easy. They had to be quick to grab the clue, which, again due to the Vietnamese flag, is in yellow and white instead of Race colors. The clue itself... a stamp of the Ho Chi Minh City Post Office, one kilometer up the road. At the post office, Flight Time & Big Easy are the first on the Race to arrive at a...
And it turns out that the Post Office is a little longer than one kilometer. A taxi was a good idea. Flight Time & Big Easy go with Child's Play, and drag a ram across the park. More teams arrive at the theatre to charm the dragon. It's a little tougher than giving the eye. Meanwhile, Lance & Keri are... doing it all wrong again. They finally look at the bullet to see the stamp inside. Brian & Ericka are stuck in traffic, while Zev & Justin arrive at the Detour. One after the other, we go to the park, except for Marcy & Ron, who head for the hotel. Flight Time & Big Easy finish with the Detour and are the first to get this clue...
The rest of the teams go to the park to complete the Detour while Marcy & Ron go to the hotel and quickly collect the letters... but one of them is wrong. Meanwhile, it's a Race at the park to collect balloons and keep their animals whole. Zev & Justin drop their giraffe, and one of his magical horns is broken off. Not good... The giraffe turns out to be a mistake. The rules state that if a piece of your animal breaks, you have to pick it up. Marcy & Ron finally get all their letters in a row. Now to unscramble. The animals are flying out of the kiosk at the park, and the balloons are flying out of the hands of their attendants. And teams are flying to the next clue. And once again, Lance & Keri are doing it all wrong. Marcy & Ron have yet to ask a local to help them out with the Detour. Meanwhile, Flight Time & Big Easy are the first to arrive at...
The players start disassembling their VCRs and sorting their parts. Matt's done this before (C-Note: so have I), so it's no problem. Marcy & Ron... have finally asked a local for help. Took them long enough. But it may be all for naught, as Flight & Big get..
The Trotters try to find someone to direct them to the palace. Meghan & Cheyne are the next to finish, follow by Gary & Matt. Marcy & Ron are finally finished with the Detour, but they are in last place. Sam & Dan and Brian & Ericka are the next on their way. PIT STOP First to see Phil and the happy local are... Flight Time & Big Easy! Meghan & Cheyne are in second. Flight Time & Big Easy are rewarded with... a trip to Aruba! This has been close! Back at the Roadblock, Mika & Canaan have just arrived. Gary & Matt clock in at third. Lance & Keri are... lost. Brian & Ericka make the comeback to fourth. Marcy & Ron are stuck in traffic, while Lance & Keri are finally at the Roadblock. Lance decides to just rely on dumb luck and brute force to rip the VCR to shreds. Sam & Dan are fifth to check-in. Marcy & Ron finally find the Roadblock. Ron gets to work. Maria & Tiffany are in sixth, Mika & Canaan are in seventh, the rest of the teams are in... gridlock. Now it's a foot race... Coming up in the eight-spot is... Zev & Justin, followed by Lance & Keri. The lion is still alive, but the zebras and the gazelles have outrun them. But for Marcy & Ron, this is the end of their Amazing Race. They wanted a lot more out of this Race, but they're really grateful, especially given that her father was here before and got rescued. they stepped up to the plate... and now they've struck out.
