Quarterfinals Round 2
August 12

Last night on America's Got Talent, some stars emerged while some faltered. There's only room for five more in the semis. Plus, performances by Penn & Teller and LMFAO.

But first, the business of the results. Remember, America puts through four, and the fifth slot if filled by the judges.

First up, the Fab 5 and the Beale Street Flippers... The ladies were blazin' mommas. The Flippers were boring. Going through to the next round is... THE FAB 5!

Next up, a performance by pop act LMFAO, performing their hit "I'm In Miami Trick." I would've rewrote it "I'm on AGT Trick"

Next on the stage... Voices of Glory... Eleisha Miller... and Carol Loo. The Voices were shaky but fantastic. Eleisha has a great future, but not in singing. Carol... got the X. Going home first... Carol Loo. Going forward to the next round... VOICES OF GLORY!

Next up... Texas Tenors and Pete Peterkin. David questioned the song choice for the Tenors. All the judges agreed that Pete's comedy material is lacking. Joining the semifinals next is.... THE TEXAS TENORS!

Next is a performance from Penn & Teller. Hopefully they won't make any fathers disappear like they did on Monday. They do the old sawing-a-woman-in-half routine.... with the classic Penn & Teller twist. And of course, the lady comes out just fine. Don't need no bandages or Neosporin or nothing.

Someone clean up this mess, we need to announce results.

Next on stage is Alizma, SQ Entertainment, and Paradizo Dance. SQ changed Piers' mind about coming back. Alizma got all three Xes. Paradizo Dance was spectacular. Going home are... Alizma. Going through to the semifinals are.... PARADIZO DANCE!

That leaves Charles DeWayne and Rockin' Rory coming in 5th and 6th. It's all up to the judges now.

David votes for... Tony Hoard and Rory.

Piers says... "If Charles DeWayne doesn't go through, it'll be the biggest scandal in the history of America's Got Talent."

It's up to Sharon. She votes through.... TONY HOARD AND RORY!

So once again, your five this round...

The Fab 5
Voices of Glory
The Texas Tenors
Paradizo Dance
Tony Hoard and Rory

Next week, 12 more acts competing for your votes. Until then, this is the GSNN terror squad signing off.
