2.8: The New Class
October 4
Last time, the Are You
Smarter Class of 2007 said goodbye by giving Josh Arnold $100,000 and
Greg Johnson $175,000.
Now it's back to the story. Over the summer,
the class went all over the country looking for the next class of
AYSTA5G Elementary. They searched high and low for five kids who are
smart... who are funny... and who can stand the pressure of millions of
Americans watching them week in, week out. To that end, five students
were chosen to fill in the coolest class on television. And now, without
further delay, it's time to meet your Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?
Class of 2008: Cody, Mackenzie, Sierra, Nathan, and Olivia!
Now let's meet their first new classmate, an
18-year-old valedictorian from Sacred Heart Academy in La Canada, KATIE
BARBARO! She's also the youngest contestant ever on this show. She comes
wearing her blazer which is blazing with academic honors for luck.
First up to help Katie...
It's Cody, Brody's identical twin brother.

She thinks
platypi live underwater. Not the point, but she goes with
true... and she's on the board with $1000.
Next question is something
new, a Classroom Club Question. Lauren from St. Andrews, an actual 1st
grader, sent this question in, and because she was chosen, her school is
getting a computer lab courtesy of AYSTA5G. Right nice of them. And if
you want to send a question, go to
fox.com/smarter to do that.
Now, the question.

Not bad for a first time out
