Episode 5 - November 19
Gordon: Last time on Vas O No Vas, someone bailed out...when
they held the $250,000 case.
Jason: Ouch.
Gordon: Will we see that happen again? Jason Block and Don
Harpwood are with me to find out.
Jason: Hello.
Gordon: I wonder if the Temptation Case this week will be a PS3
and a Wii
Jason: Funny, but no.
Gordon: Question #1: What was the name of the shuttle that blew
up in the 1986 disaster?
Jason: Challenger of course.
Gordon: The answer is The Challenger. The winner is Liz Lopez,
from Glendale, CA.
Jason: Go Liz.
Gordon: Question #2 The two languages of Peru are Spanish
and...what? Quechua is the right answer. The right contestant
is...Alan Garcia from Los Angeles, CA.
Jason: Two Californians going at it.
Gordon: Alan gets two questions right (the second one off of a
Liz miss) and he gets to play for $250,000! But...maybe he wants
to instead yield to Temptation.
Jason: Nice for Alan...but what is the Temptation?
Don: If it's $5,000 again...
Gordon: The Temptation is...$5,000...times 4. $20,000.
Don: Nice.
Jason: ooooh.
Gordon: Alan doesn't want it and we start the game.
Jason: Alright
Gordon: And we have the march of the Bamboletas
Jason: Ole!
Gordon: And now we have the display of the board...ole!

Alan and his brother sing a song about Vas O No Vas.
Jason: LOL
Gordon: All together now. 1...2...3...
Everyone: AwwwwBarf.
Gordon: They sing about how VONV affects the heart - and
now all of the audience is on their feet, clapping
along. I would expect this on Sabado Gigante and maybe
the American version.
Jason: Got it.
Gordon: By the way, for Thanksgiving's DOND, Celine Dion
comes back.
Jason: Oh boy...yay!
Gordon: And for the final chorus, Alan sings in English
that everything's all right. The one thing that will not
be all right are my eardrums, which may have been
permanently scarred.
Jason: Aieee!
Gordon: Back to box selection. The boxes apparently
loved his singing. $1. #10 - $40,000 #18 - we're singing
a different tune. $20,000
Jason: Not good.
Don: Oh, boy...
Gordon: #14 - Penny Case! Or as Chico Alexander says,
Banoodles!
Jason: Huh?

Jason: Yes I do.

Gordon: Alan would have guessed 25. Inside the
case...300.
Don: Ooh...
Jason: Uh oh.
Gordon: Offer would have been - $95,000. Next guess -
19. The amount inside was...$50,000
Jason: So Alan has either $2,500 or $250,000.
Gordon: Yep. Offer - $130,800
Don: Wow.
Gordon: Alan's case had...$2500.
Don: Whew.
Gordon: $60,000 deal for $2,500. This time the
contestant did the right thing. We end with Alan and his
brother dancing with the big check, the Bamboletas
dancing, and dancers everywhere. Time to dance out of
here. Special thanks to Jason and Don. This is Gordon
Pepper, saying Game Over...and spread the love. |
