THE STORY SO FAR! In the
Blinds, we had 48. In the Battles, we pared it to 32.
Now we've reached the Knockout stage, where every
decision is left to the singers, and every song could be
your last.... or could it?
Everyone is still in play,
as the coaches are given one more Steal a piece.

It's time to Knock'em
#TEAMXTINA: Amber Nicole vs. Josh Logan
We have a belter versus a
popper. Amber is going to lead off with "Mama Knows
Best" by Jessie J. Josh is going to counter with "Living
for the City" by Stevie Wonder. I guess they're not as
different as Christina makes them out to be, but let's
see how this Knockout goes down.
Cee Lo says that Amber
has character, while Josh has voice. Adam says that
Amber delivered, while Josh did the song serious
justice. Blake says that Josh is going to another level,
while Amber was impressive.
CHRISTINA CHOOSES: JOSH! (@Josh_Logan)
And while Amber is commiserating her
loss... CEE LO AND BLAKE VIE FOR THE STEAL! But who will Amber choose?
AMBER CHOOSES: CEE LO! Breaking the
#TEAMCEELO: Kat Robichaud vs. Monika Leigh
Both of these strong
female singers are about to enter the ring, but only one
can survive. Kat goes with "You Oughta Know" by Alanis
Morissette. Monika will counter with the bluesy "Hit the
Road Jack" by Ray Charles. It's hard rock versus smooth
blues. Who's going to rise, and who will fall?
Adam says that Kat is a
rock star, while Monika was a little more calculated.
Blake says a lot of things about handcuffs. Giggity. He
gives it to Monika. Christina calls Monika fierce, while
Kat was engaging.
CEE LO CHOOSES: KAT! (@katrowbeeshow) Tar
Heel in the house!
#TEAMBLAKE: Holly Henry vs. Nic Hawk
One got all four to turn
and made what she believes to be a right choice. Will
she make another one with "Creep" by Radiohead? Or will
Nic come out swinging with a neo-soul take on
Christina's "Genie in a Bottle". Somewhere in North
Jersey, Gordon Pepper is going "No, no, no, no, no, no,
no, no, no, no, no, no."
Christina loved when
women are fearless (Holly)... and Nic? Took a risk and
revamped it. Adam wanted to see more of Holly, while Nic
gets the nod.
BLAKE CHOOSES: NIC! (@MrNicHawk).
#TEAMADAM: Ashley DuBose vs. Tessanne Chin
This is a power duel.
Ashley will match power to power with Tessanne. Ashley
will go laid back with Train's "Hey Soul Sister", while
Tessanne is going completely different with "Stronger
(What Doesn't Kill You)" by Kelly Clarkson.
Christina saw Ashley
deliver, while Tessanne made it sound easy. Cee Lo says
that Ashley has a "coffee and cigarette quality", while
Tessanne commanded the stage.
ADAM CHOOSES: TESSANNE! (@Tessanne).
#TEAMBLAKE: Briana Cuoco vs. Shelbie Z
Both are always prepared
to perform. But frankly speaking, Blake probably has his
mind already made up. We'll see if it changes after
Briana delivers "Don't Speak" by No Doubt ("Too much
icing, not enough cake"), while Shelbie counters with
"Last Name" by Carrie Underwood... and she says that she
won every singing competition she ever sang that song
Christina says Bri had a
strong finish, but she's a fan of Shelbie. Cee Lo says
Briana was "solemn", while Shelbie had presence and
BLAKE CHOOSES: SHELBIE (@Shelbie_Z). Hate
to say I told you so...
#TEAMADAM: Grey vs. James Irwin
Grey's going into her
heart-string mode with Kelly Clarkson's "Already Gone".
James will counter with a middle of the road attempt at
"Breakeven" by the Script.
Blake says James won the
duel with his warmth. Christina says that Grey had a
good follow through, while James had perfect pitch. Cee
Lo says Grey had character, while James had range.
ADAM CHOOSES: GREY (@MusicByGrey).
#TEAMXTINA: Destinee Quinn vs. Olivia Henken
There is only room for
one country artist in Christina's squad, so this one
will decide who stays and who pays. Destinee is going
with "See You Again" by Carrie Underwood, while Olivia
will counter with "You're No Good" by Linda Ronstadt.
Adam says he heard more
issues with Olivia. Blake thought that the problems were
equal, saying Destinee was consistently flat, while
Olivia was consistently sharp.
CHRISTINA CHOOSES: OLIVIA! (@oliviahenken)
#TEAMCEELO: Cole Vosbury vs. Jonny Gray
Both have grassroots
appeal, but who will have staying power? Cole is going
down-tempo this time with "Let Her Go" by Passenger,
while Jonny is keeping on keeping on with "We Can Work
It Out" by the Beatles.
"I don't care who he
picks. I'm picking the other one." So says Adam. Blake
says that they both sound different. Christina says that
they are unique, but she loves Jonny's stage presence.
CEE LO CHOOSES: JONNY (@jonnygraymusic)!
Here comes the Adam
Hammer... And here comes Blake!
COLE CHOOSES: BLAKE (@ColeVosbury)
So to review...
