THE STORY SO FAR! A model, a
single dad, an escort driver, a former Christian rocker,
and the youngest contestant in the history of the show
are all locks for the next round. Christina is the
closest to filling her team roster. She needs only FOUR.
Will she get what she's looking for tonight?

Carson is in Sherman Oaks
to meet Will Champlin (30; Reseda, CA), who's hoping to
follow in his father's footsteps. His father... Bill
Champlin of Chicago. The band, not the city. He thinks
that this is his time, especially with a supportive wife
and daughter. Time for the son to break from the father
with our opening performance... "Not Over You" by Gavin
DeGraw. And as soon as he gets into the breakdown, BLAKE
DOWN! And then ADAM... and then CEE LO... But what is
Will's choice? It is... fellow Angeleno ADAM.
Macey Estes (18.
Greenwood, IN) grew up shy to the point of singing and
dancing in her room, unlike her musical family. She was
a show-choir veteran, but she wants to do a little
hip-hop. In fact, she wrote a rap about being on the
show. Will we hear it? Later, because she's singing "The
Way" by Ariana Grande. And by the time she reeks of
desperation, it turns into... no way.
Stephanie Anne Johnson
(29, Tacoma, WA) grew up with a lot of blues, gospel,
classic rock, and soul. She's also a classically trained
vocalist, having majored in it during college. After a
stint in day-care, she ended up being a cruise ship
singer in Alaska. She's hoping to dry-dock in SoCal with
"Black Horse and a Cherry Tree" from KT Tunstall.
Christina & Cee Lo want to take a ride. Trivia: Vicki
Martinez from season 1 went to high school with
Stephanie Anne. But who will go to the head of the class
today? Stephanie Anne picks... CHRISTINA.
Sam Cerniglia (25;
Chicago) works for Groupon by day, jams with a band by
night. Family supports both of those efforts. His
younger sister has cystic fibrosis, while his older
sister has Batten's Disease, a rare, fatal
neurodegenerative disorder characterized by vision
problems, seizures, and other neural malfunctions.
Ultimately the patient will become blind, bedridden, and
demented. To put it simply... her brain is shrinking.
Get a chair to turn for her. His selection is "It's a
Beautiful Day" by Michael Buble. Blake and Cee-Lo make
it an even MORE beautiful day for Sam, as he's in. But
who will be the coach of import? Should be noted that
Blake is a big fan of Michael's. He'll also be a big fan
of Sam's because BLAKE wins this one.
Jennifer Newberry (32;
Seattle) has traveled a long way to get to this stage.
She's originally from Sweden. Her father was an American
exchange student in Sweden when he met her mom. And
that's the end of the series. Kidding. She has since
lived abroad with her mom. She connects to America
through music, and 11 years ago, she took the risk and
emigrated to the States full time. Will her American
dream come true tonight with "Locked Out of Heaven" by
Bruno Mars? Nope. She's locked out of this round.
We begin hour 2 with
James Irwin (31; St. Louis), returning from last year
after failing to turn a chair with his rendition of "The
Man That Can't Be Moved". Back then, it was a second
chance at music. Tonight, it's a second chance at a
chair. And this time, he will have the support of his
young son (if you remember, he lost both twin daughters
10 minutes after their birth). He hopes he won't be
"Losing My Religion" by REM. He won't. He's gone from
zero chairs to FOUR. This is the FIRST time that has
ever happened, but who will be the coach to be a part of
Voice history? It will be... one of the two that passed
him up the first time. Welcome to Team ADAM!
Olivia Henken (25;
Louisville, KY) has been singing since she was 4, and it
was all on the stage. She has gone from singing contest
to singing contest, but has never made that step. And my
god is she blond and pink. When she's not singing or
pink... she's working at a tax office. Will this be the
first step in a grand journey? She sings "Two Black
Cadillacs" by Carrie Underwood... who she looks a lot
like. As Christina finds out first hand. She's in. It's
looking like she's going to .. NOPE, HERE COMES CEE LO!
Nothing from Blake. Interesting. Olivia's in with a
chance. Christina wants to play with Blake, while Cee Lo
wants to "challenge" her... meaning, of course, not sing
as much country as she wants. I sense a steal coming in
the Battle Rounds, but for now, she belongs to...
CHRISTINA!
Jason Kertson (16;
Seattle) is a troublemaker. In fact, he learned how to
play the guitar when he was grounded for three weeks.
His special talent: playing two guitars at once. He put
it up on YouTube, and Megadeth got back to him.
Hopefully he won't mega-die on stage once he starts with
"Lips of an Angel" by Hinder. It looks like he's going
to go back to playing two guitars at once on YouTube.
R Anthony (33; Tampa) was
the quiet kid until he was part of a gospel trio. After
his wife became pregnant, he had to put the singing on
hold. He's hoping to get back out there on "The Voice"
with a good performance on The Script's "Hall of Fame".
Christina wants to be inducted. And at the last
second... so does Cee-Lo! No one's getting away with
anything tonight! No, sir! And Cee-Lo's going to really
be glad he did. CEE LO adds one. He would also add
Keaira Lashae to his ranks.
Also adding...
CHRISTINA: Amber Nicole
BLAKE: Emily Randolph
Justin Chain (23; Fort
Payne, AL) hopes to link up with a coach with his
homespun country twang. He never had the money for a
demo, so he concentrated on sports. In fact, he was THIS
close to a shot at Alabama, but he was involved in a
motorcycle accident with an SUV. After three months
recovering from an accident that should have by all
accounts taken his life, he's a winner in my book, but
now it's all about the stage and his vocal on "She's
Country" by Jason Aldean. Blake's calling dibs right
now. ... and he gets his man! Blake calls him "a stud".
So right before our final
entry, let's play catchup...

Last up tonight, it's
single mother Ashley DuBose (23; St. Paul, MN), whose
childhood dream of music was handed down by her mother.
She's a geek. As in certified IT. She did finish school
and is now able to pursue music. She's hoping for a
better life for her daughter. Closing out the show, we
get to hear her shine on Rihanna's "Diamonds". ONE! TWO!
THREE! FOUR CHAIRS! And Cee-Lo's enjoying the show. She
thought she knew who she wanted... but ends up going
with ADAM. She is a favorite to win, but then again,
that's what they said about Judith Hill.
Two weeks down, one week
to go, and Christina is down to her final pick.
