The New Orleans Auditions (or "A Total Washout")
September 29

It's time for "Dance" to head into the big easy. But it's gonna be hard to see which ones will make it to Vegas. You'll see why as our show begins.

NEW ORLEANS
DAY 1

Joining Mary herself is Adam Shankman and Lil' C for the 2nd night in a row. Shelby will be up first and his nickname is Skip. He does a "New Orleans Bounce," and taught some to Cat. That'll skip him to Vegas! Next is Jonathan, and he combines ballet with jazz. That'll be a good combination, and they send him to Vegas! So many talent came to Vegas, including Allison, Calvin and Edward.

Next is Eric who drunk 6 energy drinks. He must've been staying awake all night as he does a hip-hop routine, that includes a lot of spinning. They spin him to round 2. Here's Justin who once suffered a severe head trauma, but returned after 3 weeks. He comes back strong on stage despite the trauma. But it won't be no trauma as he goes to round 2. Soon after that round came, Eric got cut, and Justin went to Vegas, and 12 more join them.

NEW ORLEANS
DAY 2

With a name like Kimalee, she knows all about ballroom. Even though her partner isn't auditioning, she just wants to help. She does a split lift, and even more. The judges were thinking round 2, but instead, they take him to Vegas. Smart call. Next is Micah, and despite no training, he learned how to get out of trouble by dancing from the tough streets. He does a hip-hop routine and wowed the panel. It'll be round 2 for him.

After seeing the strange and awful, Mary has some rules for what you can't do in audition. They are as follows...

1) Never wear your hat over your eyes. (Stacey & Clinton, are you reading this?)]
2) Do not keep reaching out to nowhere. (What are you, Stretch Armstrong?)
3) Stop rubbing yourself all over your body. (I'm not making this up.)
4) Men should not be constantly shaking their booties. (wha?)

Did those help? Adam gave you a demo on that. Back to the auditions. Next is Jakob. He gives an emotional contemporary routine. That lit up The Big Easy and he goes to Vegas! Last up is Diana, who ran for the auditions after finding out her grandfather was very ill. He died the day before the solo. She decides to do it for him. By doing a contemporary routine, the judges send her to round 2. Soon after the round came, It was Micah who's not going, but Diana and 17 more went to Vegas. Well, next week, it'll be Salt Lake City before we head to Vegas. It'll be one great week. We'll see you then!
