"Cinnamon & Patti" -
November 22
Welcome to "Cops"... the beauty pageant edition.
First, Cinnamon Smith
(31; Philadelphia), a divorced police officer who was
really tomboyish as a child and continued to be to this
day. Her off-duty life: eating what her kids eat and
wearing a muumuu. She wants to feel more confident
about herself. Dr. Dubrow wants to refine her nose.
Debbie wants to refine her body. Nely just wants to see
her in underwear.

It's time for the first
day of the rest of your life. Cinnamon embraces her
three months, while Patti struggles with the challenges
of days past.
Patti's surgical consult
with Dr. D: he calls in an ocular specialist to see what
he can do about the eyelids and the eyes bugging out.
Meanwhile, Patti calls attention to a large cyst on her
nose. That shouldn't be a problem after the first
surgery. But the doc has concerns. The mass on the nose
was deeper than he thought, and has to be removed so
they can find out what it is. Now it's off to analysis
where people in lab coats like myself will deduce
whether or not it's malignant. In the meantime, the rest
of the surgery is off.
Cinnamon's dental
consult with Dr. W: It hurts that she has a morbid fear
of the dentist. She hasn't been in 10 years, so we get
to see what lurks behind a ten-year-old crown... and I
don't think I want to see that anymore. Put the
temp veneers on, already. One visit down. Six to go.
Separation anxiety sits
in for Patti, who calls Stan.
Cinnamon's surgical
consult with Dr. D: He wants to feminize her masculine
body. She says she wants small D, large C breasts, but
Dr. D asks "Isn't that too big for a cop?" "They'll have
to order me a new bulletproof vest!" After the nose,
Cinnamon's pretty much ready. Lipo... check. Breast augs...
check. Nose... check. Call to kids... check. Post-op,
she's halfway to beauty: "It's all fun & games until
somebody gets a nose job."
Back to Patti. The test
results on the mass are now in... and the result is not
good. "Unfortunately, it's cancer." World rocking and
very serious news. What's worse is that there's still
more in her nose, but it can be removed. In the
meanwhile, she doesn't want her kids to know, telling
Stan not to tell her.
She sees Dr. Lynn about
the breakdown. "I can't cure her cancer, but I can help
her let go of all the guilt around it." Cinnamon calls
home, as she's missing her kids. It's become painful to
look at picture.
And now, the moment of
truth for Patti, victimized by basal cell skin cancer.
Dr. Vincent Hung will attempt to remove all the cells
until the cancer is gone. After four hours... all the
cancer is gone. "I'm cancer-free. That's remarkable."
And now to continue her surgery.
Cinnamon gets mail from
her precinct... and a pair of stiletto heels. Now to
practice... Remember, heel toe, heel toe.
Fast forward a month to
the final reveal. First up,
Cinnamon gets out from under a panic attack and
shattered pride (from her police precinct) to emerge...
looking like Dr. W? That's freaky. But you want freaky,
the journey of a "fairy god-team" results in a reveal in
a fairy god-mirror.
"Oh my God! I'm so
happy! I'm gonna smile all the time!"
Good for you, Officer
Smith. Now to Patti. She came from a past of cancer and
a present of cancer, but she's come through a lot to be
here... And Nely said it herself: "You are the bomb!"
Well, if anyone deserves it, it's her. She's been given
the gift of health and the gift of beauty, and now she
gets to see both in the Mirror of Fate...
"Whoo! Wow. I do look 20
years younger! I can't believe I'm 42." Amanda tells her
that she looks more like 22. She's gone through a LOT
and is a winner in her own right, but will it be enough
to advance to the pageant? Remember,
the experts are judging on poise, beauty, overall
transformation, and blondeness. Because almost everyone
on this show is blonde to some extent. Moment of truth
time. Joining Jennifer Patton, Gina Davis, Erica Moore,
and Kari Bravada in
the Swan Pageant is... Cinnamon. She has an incredible
outlook on life, says Dr. W. Don't cry for Patti,
though, as she's been given so much more, and Stan is
now witness to that.
Next time we see
Cinnamon will be in a few weeks for the pageant. Next
time we see you will be next week, we hope, as the
transformations continue... and yet another one of those
shocking moments... |
