Episode 2.4: The Halloween Show
October 30

How did Karen become champion? How much is she holding onto? Why is Joey dressed like he's ready to tear into Simon Belmont? The answers... and Ray Parker, Jr.... await inside this Halloween edition of the Singing Bee.

Karen's challengers are... Angie, Erin, and Tino.

Round 1:

- 1962, Bobby Boris Pickett, "The Monster Mash"
Band: "For my monster from his slab began to rise / Then suddenly to my surprise / He did the mash / He did the monster mash / The monster mash..."
Angie: "It was a graveyard smash." One!

- 1979, Charlie Daniels Band, "The Devil Went Down to Georgia"
Band: "The boy said / My name's Johnny / And it might be a sin, / But I'll take your bet / You're gonna regret..."
KAREN: "Let me tell you how it's been." Nope.
Erin: "To take on a bigger spin." Nope.
Tino: "I bet you that I win." Correct: "'Cos I'm the best there's ever been."

- 1967, Classics IV, "Spooky."
Band: "First you say no / You've got some plans for the night / And then you stop / And say alright..."
KAREN: "Love is kinda spooky for a... " Woops.

One more.

Let's meet our players. Alice in Wonderland #24 Angie (Charlottesville, VA) is a canine chef. Her specialty is a turkey/cheese/rice dish. Officer #10 Tino (Honolulu, HI) does impressions. His best... Cher. #99 Queen Karen was pulled up on stage by Jennifer Hudson.

Round 2, Singing With The Enemy.

The players are going to perform the same song together. The contestants must sing the entire phrase correctly to score. Highest two scores move on.

Tino: "Another one bites the dust / Another one bites the dust / And another one gone / And another one gone / Another one bites the dust / Hey I'm gonna get you too / Another one bites the dust." And Tino is the Singing Bee champion!

But can Tino sing for his supper? We'll see in ... The Final Countdown...
